I’ll go first!
- Showing off armor and checking out others. Having one place to do all of my non combat errands (bank, TP, MF, crafting).
- Two fold – Guilds will have more face time, but less ppl would be in DR and LA.
- They would function like home instances, taking up one spot on the map, tailored to the guild that enters. I would put them in LA and have tons of themes that the guild could purchase. I would have a snarky asura there selling guild hall themed spaces inside of his fancy machine accessed via his asura gate portal. I’d also have a ‘go to guild hall’ button in the UI somewhere.
- All crafting stations, TP, Bank, Laurel vendors, Commendation vendors, Guild vendors, a vendor that could store your town clothes. All unlocked via merits.
- I would potential add a pvp mechanic to guild halls. If any guild member owns a private pvp server, then there should be a pvp UI that shows them and allows guild members to access them w/o going through the mists.

1. The purpose is a meeting place to discuss guild activities or events and helps us to organize them more efficiently.
2. Less people in major cities.
3. In the middle of a map that’s not traveled very often. You must walk there.
4. Everything available in a major city.
5. Discount on all expensive materials.
You really think this company is going to give us Guild Halls?
This game holds nothing remotely related to Guild versus Guild, Hell i don’t even know why it’s called “Guild Wars 2”
You might be in luck if it was something they could add to the Gem Store otherwise “Dream On”
Sorry to be so negative in your thread but this game hardly inspires confidence.
1. The Guild that has the most members online in the guild hall should get more rewards quicker than the others
2. Guild members that congregate in the guild hall between 2.00am and 3.00pm in the time zone of their server should have their rewards doubled

1 .Purpose: What’s the purpose, what makes them enjoyable?
It’s for having entire Guild in one place. Every player would have a place to socialise. To be with his guild.
2. Side affects: How will this impact the community?
People will have a chance to do something while waiting for big event, for example. Or would just have a place to spend some time with their closest players while not being in LA, where game loads slowest and works with lowest FPS.
3. Where, How, What: Where would they be, how would you get there, looks?
Part of guild would be inside, part outside to avoid situation that suddenly there is no one ‘on streets’.
There would be guild activities that would concentrate only on expanding hall. At first it would be a little building, maybe with one floor, where big guild would just swarm over it completely. There wouldn’t be room for everybody.
Guild hall could be expanded just like a character – there will be a tree of developement. Chosen build paths could be changed but it would require time to disassemble already constructed parts and then time and materials to build new ones.
Each could provide some perks.
4. Unlocks: What type of perks would they have, how would you attain them?
Many should consist of new graphical effects on guild members – auras, footsteps, maybe new weapon effects. New skills, new traits, new weapons. That kind of things.
These would be obtainable through guild missions and guild participation in events around the world – dungeons, fractals, evens, fighting world bosses. These activities would have new guild only achievements that would require a lot of coordinated work to achieve.
5. Other: Any special mechanics or ideas?
Many things should be there – arenas for duels and bigger organised fights, bigger arenas to train and develope tactics (maybe with ability to customise battleground, create groups who can be hostile to each other to simulate WvW situations and how group should react).
There should be many items that characters could interact with – stools to sit on, tables to dance on, places to make things, ways to improve Guild Hall with ornaments, well everything you could possibly think of.
There should be cases that show what guild achieved – if guild group achieved something (Guild achievements for World bosses fight would be awesome) – it would be displayed there – like Tequatl Head.

Way to go turning a creative, pulling some positive out of no guild halls thread, into the generic guild hall threads we always see ;/
In Game
- Capes and banners (Got people working on capes in their off time
)
- Use Merits + Influence to purchase hall and upgrades
- Have different “tiers” of Guild Halls for guilds of varying size and activity (a small beach for a small guild; an aetherblade airship for a large guild)
- Unique nodes for different kinds of guild halls
- Dueling with guild members and guests of the guild
- GvG
- Guild Banner Finisher for WvW and PvP with different effects based on guild activity (From simply the banner, to a shockwave, to a thunderbolt, etc.)
In Gem Store
- Ability to add TP to your guild hall (permanent)
- Ability to add Asuran Gates to LA and other main cities to guild hall (permanent)
- Ability to add fluff to guild hall “wardrobe” (permanent)
