Let's talk about Leveling.
If you want quick and have the gold for mats you can level through crafting. It’s pretty boring though if you use a guide, and more expensive if you don’t.
That’s true, not to ramble on or sound like I’m complaining, but I did that with the Ranger I mentioned. But gathering would be fun for the crafting.
I love the game, I would love to hear what some of you do to level quickly, or just to have fun!
Ok, there is something I don’t understand – what do you actually like to do in the game? Do you like doing dynamic events? Exploring the world? Playing through the story? Gathering and crafting? Playing dungeons? Going WvW? Or what?
treadmill, of being in that obvious pattern of every time I catch up you are going to

After about my 5th character or so I began relying on crafting more for leveling. By then, I was familiar with the world and just wanted to get to 80. This is where http://gw2crafts.net/ can come in handy as it will show you the most cost effective path.
However, in your case I wouldn’t recommend anything to boost speed in leveling. Leveling through normal gameplay is fast in this game and will allow you to experience all the cool stuff Anet has put in the game. Guardian is a great profession to level; just check out all the level-appropriate zones and have fun. Dynamic events are your friends. I often camped out in areas where a lot spawn for a few levels—they offer a lot of bang for the buck.
What’s the rush to 80 if there’s no real difference in the content you can do anyway once you get there?
Just play the game and have FUN while you are playing it…..
I have 6 lvl 80s so far and 2 more to go and I never rushed their lvls. I just clear every map and before you know it they are there very easily and I am ENJOYING the content getting there. I don’t understand the people who have to rush, rush, rush…
If you had a ranger at lvl 70 something and then got bored and deleted I say again what difference will it make if he was 80? None…. maybe you should just have taken a break from playing him and worked on another class instead of a complete start over. You do have 5 char slots you know not just 1. It sounds to me more like general attention disorder or a distraction/boredom thing more than blaming any certain class lol…

.
It’s nice to have options. At 80 you can play any dungeon and play in any zone.
Also at 80 you can invest in longterm items like weapons and armor and you can start to build your character for different things.
To level up my second character im getting 100% world exploration which i didnt get on my first. This way i can get the gifts, experience all that there is in the world, and level up my character and actualy become a better player (at the moment i suck at mesmer although this is probably because im only lvl 30 but i already have all starter areas 100% completed).

I enjoy leveling in Rift. Rift pretty much has the same dynamic events going for it as GW2 does, but the difference is that I enjoy doing them in Rift. Rift has better looking armor, weapons, and skills so leveling is never boring. I was having the same issues as you when I was playing GW2, but Rift is like a fantastic mix of WoW and GW2 combined.
Play the game with friends, or make in-game friends or join a guild to find people to play with. Having the option to play in a group can make the entire game experience far more enjoyable.
Raingarde – Level 80 Necromancer
More on advice, really. I find my self going from character to character, deleting one after another. I finally landed on Guardian for the second time, this time I’m leveling it up and trying to stay attached. I had a Ranger at level 75, but just got bored for some reason, ( no offense to the Rangers here ).
Of course starting all over again, which is my fault of course, would anyone have any suggestions to get me that much more involved into the profession I’m playing?
I harvest all I can, do all the events I can, as well as the story line. I love the game, I would love to hear what some of you do to level quickly, or just to have fun!
ummmm… you went to 75 and deleted it? hmmm

It’s cheapist way to fast level up. Than just do personal story and dungeons, making breaks for world exploring and Living Story. First levels most boring because don’t give almost nothing unique and all process very repetitve even if it’s new race and profession.
I’m kinda new to game, but i’m already understand it. I start Norn, Sylvari and Asura. I really like Asura’s story and race personality, but it’s starting locations too much repetitive in some way. Also Norn. God, i’m playing Vigil Warrior and it’s personal story so annoying and sometomes hard (like dredges on the bridge, just spammy spammy their AOE non-stop) and location east from LA just basically bucnh of mountains with chilling enemies -_-

Rift has garbage skins pre-60 (other than pre-SL raid gear), and the combat is nothing special. I have no idea what you’re talking about.

But have no waypoints…
Levels, heart quests and scouts have been added to the game because people didn’t know where to go when they did the first public testes.
Adding levels to anything gives people a goal so this is why I feel GW2 couldnt go any further then that.
I would take out the numbers from levels and I would give a choice of skills every time the game “considers” you have reached certain point. You will never know when you will get the new skill so you will play and be surprised you can unlock again one more skill which you didn’t even know existed.
The list of skills is really predictable and with a wiki guide you know from the start which skill you want to buy and just level with that goal in mind.

I’m not sure where this is coming from. Rift didn’t have the same dynamic events as Guild Wars 2, at least not while I played. In fact, leveling in Rift was standard questing, with rifts popping up and the occasional zone wide event.
None of the events chained or told a story at all. There was no real event chain like the one in Harathi Hinterlands, or the one in Malchor’s Leap.
A rift was like a little mini-game with stages, nothing more. How anyone can compare these two games blows my mind.
That said, I didn’t mind the leveling in Rift…but with only two starter zones,. and only 6 races (two of which were human and two of which were elves), leveling was a very repetitive process.
On top of that, the zones were much much smaller and there were far less of them.
I have 3 lvl 80’s and a 4th on the way
I never rush leveling and just level them in the open world doing things I enjoy doing.
It is fast and fun for me and unlike crafting it actually earns you money.
I would never level a character through crafting because you will not learn how to play it properly nor will you be invested in the character.
My advice to you is pick a profession that you like and level it trough activities that you enjoy doing.
Personally I find the leveling in GW2 to be the best I’ve experienced in any game.
I get a huge kick out of planning my characters as I level them.
