So new sheathe / draw animations for all weapons on all races, a reworked skeleton rig, new UI elements? Sounds like a lot of work for almost nothing.

Sadly it is a lot of work, which is why almost all games only have 1 set of animations, but it would be great if they could add more options.

What I’d really like (and will never get because I think it’d be even more work) is the option to make my characters left-handed. It’s possible in some games (although usually only by having them dual wield and putting the bigger/‘main’ weapon in the off-hand slot) and I really like it when it is, because I’m left-handed so having my character right-handed looks weird to me. I can live with it (obviously) but it’d be nice to have the option.

New options for stowing/drawing weapons would be nice too, I know it’s something a lot of players ask for and it could help with clipping issues. (Yes it’d cause other clipping issues but at least you’d have the option to move things around.)

Left-handed could be even easier (since there’s a chance it’s “just” a matter of using mirror images of all the animations). Even that, however, would still be so much work it hardly sounds worth it for ANet to consider, let alone attempt to implement.

(And I say that as someone who asked for left-handedness in GW1, too.)

Sure, but the OP’s proposal is a massive update, not a little one.

And what i suggest ain’t one? The game will sooner or later have to go through it as it gets older

What did you suggest? I seem to have missed it.

Or, are you saying a ‘little update’ is a ‘massive update’?

I’m confused.

I’m using the word small lousely. Any update on the animations and skill effets would require a considerable amount of work from the devs.
