A simple Fix to this UI, Allow us to Move our Enemy unit frames. People dont like having it at the top of the screen but rather closer to their action bars or perhaps their upper left corner. a simple snap-on fix would even suffice, Showing buffs/debuffs on top of the unit from if someone decides to “Snap” it to their action bars, or Simply just allow its placement to be anywhere, like in world of warcraft, lock/unlock frame option. Also why not implement Class colors into the chat, it Would very much help not having to ask what a persons class is or when someone asks a question thats class oriented or you just know what class your talking to. People are going to ask anyways, no point in hiding them.

Not only would this add to a more competitive aspect, people can better follow enemy buffs and condies faster, not having to looking up and down and middle constantly to keep track, they may place it to their comfort that would be quickest to them, EX: Id place my Enemy frame to the middle left of my screen just to the side of my character, not only can i keep track of my enemies hp but their boons/condies right away, without taking my eye away from the middle where all the action in. Especially in such a fast paced game.

Linking items from chat, Instead of bring the item up, allow us to “Chain” link it by shift clicking, EX: Waypoints, someone links a waypoint and i want to link it aswell but i shift click and it instead takes me to the waypoint, instead of linking. id like to link it to mate who maynot have it, nor do i, this way we both can see where we need to head.

The social aspect of the game is VERY segregated. No one connects with eachother because theyre zoned out from eachother. Is there anyway to add a General Chat that is Linked Between Major cities, Rather than secluding people to their map, This way groups can form more easily and readily when someone announces they would like to form a Group for a major world boss. Rather than hope there is enough people in the area that are intrested.

I just wish we could detach specific chat boxes. I usually love having a window for my guildchat so I don’t have to constantly click on things to follow the conversation.

your right its not, but simple things like that, should be staple in ANY mmo, Why segregate your players? why not add customization, when this game is Heavy on its idea of Cosmetics

this game is not WoW.

Didn’t realize customizable UIs was a WoW specific feature. I guess we should all get use to a terrible UI just because “WoW did it”. The whole don’t want to be like WoW hipster mentality is one thing I despise about Anet.

It was the only other MMo OP mentions. also with the huge surge of WoW players into GW2 coming with all kinds of WoW “suggestions” to be brought into GW2 the forums are more and more turning into a “why isnt this game like WoW? MAKE IT MORE LIKE WoW with my suggestions!!!”

Nowhere i stated that OP’s ideas are bad or useless. I merely pointed out this isn’t WoW and never will be. Arenanet has their own views and idea’s of how GW2 should look and have improved over time several aspects of the game after suggestions of the community.

True, However NONE of these make this game like wow, Its Simple Mechanics of Customizing a UI, ITS simply moving frames around, or adding class colors, which every MMO has and just makes things easier, rather than Harder on its players, This forum here is for Discussion on what this games PLAYERS want to see, We dont want to see this game Become like WoW but Moving frames is just simple and Should have been implemented already when the game was made, it has nothing to do with being related to wow, it has to do with what players like and want, Reason why WoW is so succesful because they add a WHOLE lot of customization to their UI. This Wouldnt Disengage ANET idea for how they want theyre UI to be, Its simply moving the position to the players need.

The UI seems to have been designed by a designer rather than somebody who took function into mind. It really is sad because in GW1 you could move/resize any part of the UI individually. It truly is one of the aspects that Anet did a complete step backwards on and refuses to comment on.

There are COUNTLESS players who have been playing the game for awhile and NEW players who come in thinking they can Adjust their UI a little bit more to their comfort but cant! and they wonder why something as simple as moving a frame isnt allowed..

I underlined that line, because this is exactly what we are doing here.
Once again, I never said anything bad about your “suggestions” just stated this is not WoW. that was my contribution (albeit perhaps a short off one, as I am personally tired of the WoW vs GW2 topics and ideas).

If any other person see that as a flame from my side, then the wisest thing would have been to keep quiet and ignore my post, instead of flaming back. ( I wasn’t flaming btw).
See now this topic has turned into something else. I had not that in mind, yet it happened. Therefore i will not respond any more in this topic. (seeing that “i done the damage already”)

Bring back GW1 UI customization, meaning everything can be moved anywhere by hand, resized by hand, or even completely disabled or re-enabled via options menu checkbox.

Add the missing UI that allows aquabreathers to be dyed… yes, they can. Preview one, then preview dyes on it, all but the consortium masks display dye channels. Weird, huh?
