Ok I just need to discuss this, because this is something I’m going for personally.

I think many of us have very strong opinions about the precursor armour and how it looks and are kinda concerned about how the legendaries will look. So I wanted to share a few of mine and hear some of yours and hopefully the design team will take it into consideration.

Heavy Armour, looks really good, everyone I’ve spoken to about it, they all say this is their favourite one.

Light armour, this one has a few problems but I think also has the biggest potential.
-I love the shoulders and I’m keen to see how the face transforms on the legendary version.

-The chest is :S, please get rid of that rotting skull that is extremely uncomfortably jammed up between my chest bits. Like who thought that was a good idea anyway? We have plenty of armour choices that have dead animal bits attached to them for light armour, why do you have the make the legendary another one. It just looks disgusting and you know… physics.

-The boots I just don’t understand either, I suggest making them less clunky. I totally get clunky heavy armour, but not light around, that doesn’t look go at all.

-The legs I wanna ask if you can make them stick out less, but I have a very strong feeling they are going to actually split at the back and wrap around more. I think that would look good.

Medium Armour, is the one I saved to last because this is the one that I am going for first. Oh my gosh, if I just take away a couple of things, it would be perfect!

-The shoulders suck, I think they are going to come alive or something, I don’t want that, you can’t fix it, I’m never going to wear those. I think I’ll save it for my medium armour necromancer or my medium armour dragon hunter, it would be thematically appropriate on those -.-

-The mask actually looks pretty cool from the front. I don’t know if this is too hard to do for Legendary armour, but I really want a mask with which I can see my hair. I know it’s a nightmare to make because of clipping, and I know you are thinking it’s impossible. But we both know it’s possible ;D, just really hard, I wouldn’t ask for it on any other armour, but because it’s going to be legendary, and our only legendary armour, please can you think about investing a little more time into this? Is it too much work for an Extremely Special Legendary?

-I like heels, but I don’t think armour should have heels xD

-The Jerkin looks really nice and I think I will consider using it except for 1 big thing! The belt is stupidly out of place! There are enough dead body parts attached to the armours, I’m not too keen on spines. If I was a spineaholic I would use the accursed guise. Most people aren’t into those things I’m guessing, and there are these really cool loops they are hiding, there is something good that they are ruining.

-The pants I really like, not really special, but they are very nice and dye REALLY well.

Well that’s my input on the armour anyway, I wanted to put this in because I know many others are really kinda scared about how the legendaries for medium and light will turn out. You scared me more by releasing the heavy one first too, because that one looked good anyway. kudos to whoever came up with the design for that, the other ones though, please please take some of this into consideration

I’ve yet to see a single skin in any game that gets 100% support (or 100% hate). No matter how much I like a piece, there are many that can’t stand it (including friends); no matter how much another skin makes me gag, there are many that love it.

Even if that weren’t a universal truth, at this point in time, with the skins delayed for this long, I really doubt that ANet is going to take the time to even consider changing direction on design.

So sure, “let’s talk about it” as long as we understand that we’re only chatting about our preferences and this conversation isn’t any sort of, ahem, precursor to getting something different from the current plan.
