Level 39 Personal Story
Updated every Monday
Level 39 PS is different depending on your Order, as well as the choice you make in the preceding PS. Which Level 39 PS are you referring to?
Can’t remember. All I know is it was in a kitten zone, so I’m trying to get to 45 before actually doing it.
LOL I’ve just realized that 45 – 55 has been replaced with kitten and you have no idea what I’m talking about

Ahh. Lol. Well, that makes a bit more sense. =)
Is it this one?:
Travel south of Lion’s Arch to Stormbluff Isle in Bloodtide Coast and enter the story instance (be careful, the instance is in a kitten zone, so to get there, you might have to run through level 45 drakes).
Speak with Tybalt and Demmi to learn about the plan. Eventually, Commander Landon will arrive with allies and attack after a brief conversation. Kill him and his allies to complete this part of the quest. They are not very difficult foes in the first place, but Tybalt’s “apple barrels” explode after a certain amount of time, dealing enough damage to kill all of the ordinary foes on their own.
Leave the instance and travel to the back of the nearby cave where the next quest instance is. This takes you to the Chantry of Secrets where you must speak with the Preceptors. After a dialog, speak with Riel Darkwater to choose a tribal race to assist. (The choice of tribal races depends on your character’s race, and is detailed under the Racial Sympathy)

Wait until you get to your final end story at level 80…..it’s a dungeon that you have to run with more than just you and a friend….which isn’t a big deal if you got a good guild or a few friends.
Mmo players with a screw loose vs mmo players with two screws loose. All very important stuff.

Well, I have neither of those. But I can find others for it in the LFG tool, right?

Absolutely. Or if you’re on the Kaineng server, give me a holler and my wife and I will come and do it with you, as we need it on some of our alts.
Oops…..forgot about the megaserver for a sec…..send me an ingame email when you need to do it and I will come help and see if my wife can help, as well….could probably get a guildie or two to come help as well
Altho, judging by your name…..you might be on the Euro servers….am on NA servers
Edit…..checked your blog, and turns out you’re on the west coast of NA…..my wife and I are in the pacific nw….so am serious….give me a holler in game and will be more than happy to help on that mission as I need it, too.

Forget 80, 59 is the biggest pain in the kitten there is…..80 was easy, you can solo up to Arah. 59, Retribution, is a much different animal

True…..retribution is a true pita to try solo…..although it can be done…..very, very carefully….(and with several deaths and ‘resume at last point’ retries)

I’m guessing you’re Order of Whispers, which has its base in Bloodtide Coast, a 45 to 55 zone.
It wasn’t really much of a problem at all when Lion’s Arch existed as a hub city. All you needed to do to get to the Whispers base is exit Lion’s Arch to the south, run across a field and some water, and boom, you’d be there. There weren’t very many particularly dangerous enemies in the way either, think the only aggressive ones were drakes and they’re easy to just run past without getting hit. So while it WAS a level 45+ zone, as long as you didn’t try to fight anything you’d have no trouble reaching the mission area even at level 39.
Its a bit more of a problem now that LA is trashed. You can still do the above route just fine, but since LA isn’t the hub any more it requires a bit more travel. That’d still be my recommendation, even with the extra travel required.
Use the balloon just south of the keep in Gendarran. It will give you a ride to your choice of the other two camps. One of which is in Bloodtide Coast and it’s fairly close to the Order of Whispers.

Huh? What is this magical balloon?

I guess I’ll go the route of a picture is worth 1000 words. Check the picture here: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hot_Air_Balloon
Not to hijack the thread, but wouldn’t it be hilarious fun to put some hot air balloons in WvW?

Ha ha. Nice. I’ll have to try that out tonight. Never even noticed it.

Only if they add in ways to shoot them down as well.

Retribution can be much easier depending on previous choices. I’ve always ended up at lv80 or close to it by that step so it was never really much of a thing.

Of course! And ways to shoot from them, as well.

Thanks for this tip. It took me right near the PS instance, and I was able to get to it without even dodging any mobs. I’ve now passed that point, and the PS is now back in Hirathi (35 – 45) where it’s manageable again.
