Anyone else experiencing a significant increase in looted armor and fewer weapons over the last month or so in PvE? Does this have to do with getting more drops that reward us with stuff we can use? Because, what I’m getting is blue and green level 80 armor.
What value does level 80 green armor have for level 80’s besides salvaging for scraps?
What value does level 80 blue armor have to anyone besides a few coppers?
With just the log in rewards from a few months of leveling to 80 we get enough to wear and use exotic armor, accessories and weapons, minimum.
Weapons are sellable, armor often isn’t. Weapons can be Mystic Forged for presursors, armor – nope.
How do I put more weapons into the forge for a precursor when they’ve been changed to junk armor?
I’m even seeing many instances of successfully completing Tequatyl with all gold event rewards and not getting a single rare weapon. Plenty of worthless armor though!
I hope it’s just RNG, but it’s funny, I run several characters and they all have the luck of the dead now.

I salvage all my blues and mystic forge all my greens in hopes of getting rares or light armor to salvage. So far I’ve been making gold off it. Not a lot but a steady amount of rares to salvage.

I honestly haven’t noticed a change. But I get a good bit of cloth armor, which always makes me happy.

Sadly, we could salvage blues and greens all day, every day, and it still wouldn’t be a viable solution to getting the mats needed for ascended gear. It just has little actual value, even in the luck generated.

I’m finding I get more rare weapons than armor, really.

Noticed less cloth armor as of late, about normal for everything else.
Thinking it’s time to reroll a cloth prof to get the nice light loots again… it’s all anecdotal evidence that actually works. However opening bags at specific levels works great.. mainly for linen that is.

Had a few rares from the end chest at Teq the last few days, rng is rng :/

That is not really true. I had no problem keeping up with the material requirements for the daily crafting when I was salvaging everything but once I switched to only salvaging blues I started running out.

Your looting enough to salvage 300 silk scraps a day?

I seem to get about 4 weapons to each piece of armor in blues and greens. I’ve been noticing that over the last month or so, as I just started putting the items in the MF.

I guess each person’s experience (mileage) varies. /shrug

I mean the other pieces. All light armor still get salvaged. I would probably have to play exclusively in Silverwastes if I want to keep up with the silk.

After almost 3 years of waiting for the loot to get better, I have given up. I have been on permanent DR for the entire time I have played this game. I sometimes see the merchant, however with 50 to 100 pieces of junk to sell. Woo hoo! Does get a tad old however seeing grey…grey….grey….grey. If it were not for my “sure thing” of harvesting and gathering mats, I would be broke, and probably would have quit long ago.
