So as much as I appreciate it.. what now?
I’m level 20 and my story line quest is still level 1 onward… what am I to do, grind through it?

And if so, then what’s the point in the scroll if i’ll have to do the early grinding anyway..

Did you assume that you would skip 20 levels worth of Personal Story with the scroll?

You can do them and still get xp and level up (the xp scales with your level, not the level of the mission).

What’s wrong with doing the quests? That’s not a grind. Not to mention the 1-20 quests are actually fun.

Getting legendaries and ascended weapons, that’s a grind. (and some people even think getting those is too easy)

You can get maybe half a level per PS completion. Also, one nice thing about the scrolls that I discovered is that you unlock weapons at one skill per kill, so 3 to 5 kills per weapon for full unlock. I kickstarted two new characters with scrolls. The mesmer is 80 now and the guardian is low 70’s, should be 80 this week.

Not that I advocate speed leveling if one needs to learn the profession. But already having an 80 mesmer and guardian, and making these two for RP purposes, I wanted to get to the good gear and secure as many wp’s as I could so I could get to the RP locations -grins-.

Not to mention you get a free Black Lion key at Level 10.. Be thankful it’s going to be very easy to obtain a free key!
