We have started leveling but unfortunately one of our group can’t continue with us, so we are looking for a fifth member of our leveling party We are all level 9/10 Asura at the moment so we are looking for someone who has a character at that level or who would be willing to level up to around that level. We are using Mumble for the voice chat but we would like to use teamspeak, so if anyone has space on a server that would be great If you’re interested just leave a reply or contact me in-game. After a month away from gw2 I finally have some free time to start playing again! When I went to log on today I realised that when I leveled my first character I didn’t really take my time to enjoy the game – I just scrambled to get to 80 as fast as I could, mostly playing solo.
One thing I have always wanted to try in an MMO is the idea of leveling a character as part of a team. So, meeting up every couple of days or so (or more/less) with 4 other players and playing through the content as a group. Maybe using teamspeak or something similar to have some laughs along the way
Is there any interest in something like this? it would be great if anyone that is interested could leave a reply or PM me
(it’s also worth mentioning that I’m from the UK so people from EU time-zones would probably be best)
I’m on the Fissure of Woe server currently but I have enough cash left over from when I used to play to transfer to any server! Although I would really prefer it to be an EU sever just for ease of timings etc.
Edit: Just remembered that guesting exists So that is also an option.
This is by far the most fun way to level. I did a big chunk of my first character playing with my brother and a couple of friends and it was much more enjoyable than levelling either of my other two chars. Unfortunately the times at which I can actually play are rather erratic at the moment else I’d be really up for joining you!

Paigey, I’d love to join you, but I currently have only one levelling character and he is at 44 right now. I will have another by the end of the month but that might be too late.
For this Warrior that I currently level, I tried to find friends to play wíth, but didn’t have success. I hope you have better luck!
I play on Piken Square and can, of course, guest on the EU servers, so feel free to message me if you’re lacking partners. My crew is happy to go meet new people and work with them, if they are not already engaged in something. This goes for everyone else too.
That is a really good idea. My friend and me have our characters that we play only with each other, same race so story line goes together. We have other characters we play and play with them sometimes but we level these two together and have since the beginning of the game. It was a lot of fun doing it and we really enjoy seeing the game that way. I hope you enjoy it also. I am on a NA server or I would join up with you to do it.

Yeh it will be tricky! I’m from the UK so I’m really only looking for people on EU servers just to make the time differences a bit easier to handle ^^ I am able to play most evenings from around 8pm GMT.
Detritus, thats 2 from Aurora glade now looks like that may be the server of choice for the guesting! Yeh I think impatience is probably going to be the biggest challenge here :p

I would love to do this but I play on the NA servers as well. I guess NA people could join up and make their own 5 man party. Just started up an ele as well.
Well, I spend most of the time doing guild activities/dungeons, but I suppose, I could find some time to do this, I have 4 low level alts of all races, which need leveling. I’m on ~17:00 – 21:00 GMT everyday (earlier on weekends). I play on Aurora Glade. pm me in game, if you still need someone and the time suits you.

The best time frames for me are 16:00 to 20:00 GMT on weekdays. (I am on GMT+2) Weekends, I don’t have much else going on so any time goes.
I guess we want to start fresh new characters. I’ve started a new Norn Engineer and have completed the introduction. I also have various other professions at 25 levels and under.
Another Aurora Glade player :o Welcome aboard Seveleniumus! So that make 4 of us now, hopefully the fifth won’t take too long to find.
Yeh I think it’s probably best if we all start a new character (or have one that has only done the introduction) so that we are all level 2 when we start. Do you think we should all be the same race to make the personal story playable as a group? I’m not really sure on this one, it would be great to play as a a group through the story but then it makes it less ‘personal’ as we would always be playing someone else’s story. What do you guys think?

If anyone else is interested in this we could do it with 2 groups (i.e. all on teamspeak, mumble etc and level together just in 2 parties). It wouldn’t even have to be 2 full groups, could be 2 groups of 3 or whatever! The more the merrier!

Tuesday is fine for the first meet, I’ll usually be on between about 18:00 – 22:00 GMT weeknights and weekends can vary because of races but normally most of Saturday and evening on Sundays.
What are the plans in terms of voice coms? TS3? Or something else?
I think we should all play the same race so we can start in the same area and can advance through the personal story at roughly the same rate. I’m happy to play an Asura, was thinking maybe a Ranger/Elemental.
I have a Mumble server that we can use, although not sure about the quality of it (as it’s free) so if anyone has access to a TS3 server that would probably be better.
I’ve heard from Areth and he is also fine to meet tomorrow although not sure what time, shall we say 20:00 GMT tomorrow unless the others have a problem making that time?
