I’ve been interested in asking, are there like mixed maps, combined where all the races level, or is the whole PvE content like distributed with maps for each race separately?

I mean, i’m current like level 14 Nord and i’ve been wondering when/if there will be a map where me and my Asura friend can level together?
Or do i just have to go to their version of the maps if we want to do same quests?
Is there at any point in time, at some level where we level on the same map?

All maps are available to all players, every race has its own racial city and a starter map but these maps are free for characters of other races to explore.

There is an Asura Portal in your Home City, if you go through that you will enter Vigils Keep in Gendarran Fields. From there you can use other Asura Portals to go to the Home Citys of the other races and play there

Over here, i assume on the left side, the 25-35 map, then 30-40, 35-45, is map for Asura and Nords right?

There is. There storylines and your storyline will merge at some point and everything will be close to the same after that. I think it is around lvl 30 or something close to that if I remember correctly. You can jump on the wiki and look up the storylines for each race and see where they start being together.

But as someone stated above. All zones are open to all classes. If you want to get 100% map completion, you will have to go to those zones at some point. Me and my friends used to create a new toon, any race, and then we would pick one starter zone to start in and play through it and then move to another so we could play together more often.

That would be a long way without using the portals from Metrica over Caledon, Kessex Hills, Queensdale, Gendarran Fields, Snowden Drifts to Wayfarer Foothills.

You don’t have to wait for that though, you can just jump into the Asura gate in Hoelbrak, it’ll take you to the Vigil Keep where you can take another portal to any major city (Rata Sum for Asura, Divinity’s Reach for Humans, Black Citadel for Charr and the Grove for Sylvari).

I often first explore all the cities and starter areas with my new characters, by the time you’ve done that you’ll have leveled quite a bit

Basically every racial city has an asura portal to Lions Arch ( with the new Living Story update this has been changed to the Vigil Keep). This area has portals to the other racial cities. So you can have your friend go to the Vigils keep from Rata Sum, his racial home, and come to your racial home, Hoelbrak.

If you’d rolled asura and sylvari, you’d be playing together by level 15 because their starting areas are right next to each other. However, you two happened to choose races that are just naturally farther apart. Once you finish your personal stories and get into the Order portion of them, you’ll be able to play together without having to alter your course of action.

Asura and Norn don’t share any zones (like Asura and Sylvari, or Sylvari and Human, or Norn and Human), but like everyone else has said. Just pick a zone you both want to level in, and one of you just needs to meet the other.
