Guild Wars 2

Hi all I have levelled a charr warrior and now a norn thief to level 80 putting them into the Vigil and Order of Whispers so I now want to level a class for the Durmand Priory Storyline what class “fits” in with them? I have played an Elementlist and didn’t really like it so discounting that class whats left and what would fit in the most with joining the Durmand Priory

(Also I would like a ranged Class rather then Melee)

Engineer or Mesmer ??

Asura engineer.

Always curious to find new discoveries and then use the knowledge to build even more wacky machines.

the Priory are scholars and usually run by Asura

Engineers are intelligent ( read Bio) can create potions and turrets

Mesmers are Scholars by class background. light armour deal with magic and " Mind spells "

my Necro and my Engi are both Durmand Priory.
Necro because ancient tombs and lost knowledge
Engi because gadgets

The Priory has two branches – the Scholars and the Explorers.

Rangers and Warriors both make for rugged Explorers and also provide in-organization ‘shepherds’ to run flocks of the more delicate researchers out to field study sites. More defensive and support roles than the Rangers & Warriors of the Vigil, but still well represented in those classes.

Thanks for the amazingly quick answers I’ll have a look at both but I got a feeling I might go for Necro sounds more fun

My Necro is Priory. I hate to admit it, but I went that way because I liked the armor for casters. Then, once I got into the story a bit, I found that I really liked it.
