Levelling Alt with Crafting
Yes, it does not work anymore.
Five? It was 7 levels last I checked.
Far as I know all disciplines give 7 levels from 1-400, while those with Ascended crafting give a further 3 levels from 400-500.
Dang
So whats the fastest way to level nowadays
I use a specific crafting site to level my alts. I can confirm that 400 Chef gets me at least to level 16-ish fresh out of character creation.
I can also confirm that max levelling at least 6 or 7 crafting professions got me a toon to full 80 in a few hours. On my phone atm so can’t link the website but darn is it extremely handy; gives options for cheapest methods to using mats from heart quests or no quests (karma) at all.
If you got the gold, go craft-level some alts. Very easy.
Lately though I merely craft to about level 50 then use tombs for the rest.
The last alt I made, about 2 months ago, I used a birthday scroll to level to 20 then did cookery + jewellery + artificing + leatherworking to 400 each, which got me to level 50. I did them in that order to leave artificing (for refining luck) and leatherworking (which I actually needed) active. I get my crafting schemes from www.gw2crafts.net
Then I used 5 level-up scrolls I had in the bank to get to 55. Then I did personal story from the beginning, which got me to 67 before I needed to be 70 to continue. Then I did the EotM zerg to 80.
I wonder if you only got 5 levels because you started at 2, and the XP is a bit weird at the start.
In general, I would suggest that if you’re going to do any leveling the normal way you make it the first 20 — they go faster.
thanks for info.
