Leyline Crystals shortage
Do the TD event chains. Some of them are awkwardly spread from one to the next considering the map cave structure, but that’s the best way I’ve found. The pre-meta chains.
I feel like only the chack gerent event and the crystallized chests drop the crystals. Is there something I’m doing wrong? I’m doing the meta, but hardly earning any crystals. and I need 250*9 tokens for the collection weapons..
You aren’t doing anything wrong because that’s how TD works, only the Gerent event rewards a good amount of crystals. Unlike VB chests, the TD crystallized chests do not always give crystals. The Airship Cargo gives 3-28 parts each time, while the crystallized chests give 0, 5 or very rarely 30 crystals, so it’s more random. Also, for airship parts there is the large airship cargo which awards a lot more airship parts (6,28 or 50).
As for Aurillium, you can get it from Herta (the bloodstone eater), the home instance node, and events.
In other words, leyline crystals are the hardest currency to acquire.
I guess its each to their own. I find VB by far the hardest to farm currency for.

In verdant brink the flow is much more steady. If you do events you get lots of tokens and crowbars for chests with lots of tokens. Where you get 3-30 airship salvage for a crowbar in VB, you only get 0-3 in TD

You’re referring to the connecting runways of the Gerent battlestage?

There are chests throughout each map, TD has some that are very fast and easy ( once you know the route). Look at dulfy guide for the mastery point chests from the crashed pact ships, there are others along the way as well. The most you need is updtaft gliding.

I’ve only opened abut 30 chests in TD but total I have received less than 50 ley line crystals from chests. I don’t exactly count that as accessible or easy to acquire considering how easy it is to get aurillium and airship parts
In the worse case scenario you still get 5 crystal per event. In an hour you only managed to do 6 events?

Just did my long circuit with 10 chests, got 47 crystals took 14 minutes, got 17 flax seeds at the farm, did not see anyone to do daily mastery points so no chests from that, did get 2 rare reclaimed weapons though so was a good run. This was not a fast run either.
I earned them pretty quickly doing the Gerent meta or from events in general.

No events where done and magic find has zero impact on chests.

VB is easy unless you decide to only do night time VB.

Yes, I agree. Especially now, isn’t it weird that leyline crystals are limited to the Tangled Depths despite us seeing leylines everywhere. Heck, the Dry Top and th Silverwastes have large caverns of leylines
