So right now Lily of Elon is gated with 1st chapter PoF story for obvious reasons. Would the gate remain after PoF release?

If yes, this item useless and do not worth investment just like Sunspear outfit, because you have zero access on non lvl 80 chars (mules, champ bag openers, gobblers). Also you would need to complete 1st story chapter on every char? This is tedious.

We don’t know if the map is gated by the Story, or by acquiring Path of Fire, yet. Nothing prevents someone from bringing a L2 character into Auric Basin, so it may be the same for the Crystal Oasis map.

I bought PoF already and Lily clearly says: “This item will not activate until after you have completed Chapter 1 of the Path of Fire story.”

Other thing that I noticed, that item actually called Invitation to “Lily of the Elon”. So maybe it would be replaced by actual usual pass after unlocking first chapter on any char? Hope so.

But it might work like masteries – you have to complete the 1st part of the HoT storyline to unlock them, but once you’ve done it once you can train masteries on any level 80 character – even one who has never started the storyline.

Or they might not wanted to add the additional text that would have read: The Lily of the Elon is located in the Crystal Oasis map which is gated behind the first part of the Path of Fire story.

I guess time will tell. I really don’t think this convenience item/area will be character-bound rather than account-wide.

What Yakez said is what I’ve been assuming. The icon and the text suggest that the item we have now is a container that has the actual pass inside, so once we open the container we have the perm pass that has no restrictions (avoids weird bugs of the restriction acting up on the pass itself in the future might be a extra benefit)

Or you might need to activate it on a single character and then you’d be able to use it account wide.
