Limit on winder wonderland instances?
It’s probably a bug because many (if not most) people are having a hard time getting into the JP. All you can do is keep trying over and over and over and over until you get lucky to get in.
There is a bug where each server space reserved for the Wintersday JP can be occupied by a map with only one person on it.
There is no more room for new servers, and the servers in use are either
Filled to the brim
or
Empty except for one person.
That… in combination with the jp being the most efficient way to earn gifts… creates a problem.
As far as I can tell, the game tries to move players from a closed instance to a new instance. If all are full, and the instance limit is full, then this can fail. When it fails, players aren’t kicked out of the closing instance.
A closed instance also won’t actually get unloaded as long as there’s at least one active player in it (and a closing map is still fully functional, and is in fact fantastic for the players left, so there’s no incentive to leave and all the reason in the world to stay).
The server fills up with 1-man jumping puzzles.

I was in one of those instances which dropped everyone but a handful of us after the timer went up.. everybody else traveled on in time.. we stayed in the old instance without a 30 minute timer (because the new instance was full we stayed put).
The JP isn’t the most efficient way to earn gifts unless you can run successfully for 6+ runs in the 30 minute interval (which based on the scores I’ve seen is only a handful of people with most people around 5-7.. or 1-2)
Bell choir is equivalent to 54 presents in 30 minutes… lower than a perfect 140 gift run in the jumping puzzle, but a lot less prone to RNG and hectic players of the puzzle. (mind you there are old pros that can run it in their sleep.. for them it’s definitely the most efficient method.. I haven’t cracked it beyond 5 yet so I’m losing efficiency but in theory I’ll get better…)
shrug dont know why people have trouble with the JP, I can easily do 10 in 30 just goofing around. if I really focus 15 is my best so far. 12 is about avrage for me if I get in from the start of the instance. accounts for a few fails due to lag, mousehangups, or just being too greedy and trying to race faster than I should.
It really is a shame, not everyone has the time to log back in at a later hour to check if the JP maps have freed up, which means they’d have to farm even more in subsequent days to make up for the lost time.
