Guild Wars 2

So now that Lion’s Arch is going to be rebuilt does that mean it will get new architecture and remove the old ship building style? I liked the ship buildings and I hope Woodenpotatoes(Youtube) is right and the new Lion’s Arch will look like the pre launch version.

Im personally glad that they removed alot of the boats, as a big time fan of the GW1 LA i hope they make it look very very impressive, and from the concept art, it seems to be that way.

Basinc from that concept art, Lions Arch will look later much more like a total solid rock fortress, than actually a pirate ship wreck town that it was before

Yeah. I’m hoping the buildings will be more rock and stone and less rickety wooden ship remains that are a playground for firebugs.

I think it would be nice if the old fountain from Guild Wars 1 will be brought up from the bottom and placed as a monument somewhere in the new city. Probably won’t happen, but one can hope.

I am hoping for more impressive architecture as well. LA from GW1 was the capitol of Kryta. Cities in GW1 for the most part didn’t look grandiose, but LA felt like you were in a bigger, more important place.

I do hope they at least give a nod to the nautical LA we started with in this game however. Not a rickety old boat, but something that would remind us of the recently destroyed city as well.
