Guild Wars 2

Moderators: please do not delete this topic. This is not feedback on Megaserver. This is instead a list of zones which currently utilize Megaserver made so that players who want to try it can see how it works. There is lots of conflicting information out there, so this seems like a good way to clear it up.

On Megaserver:

Black Citadel
Rata Sum (I think – I didn’t ask, but it looked awfully full)
The Grove (thanks Riot Inducer)

Brisban Wildlands (thanks Xiahou Mao)
Fields of Ruin (thanks Xiahou Mao)
Timberline Falls

Apparently Not On Megaserver:

Divinity’s Reach (conflicting reports)
Mount Maelstrom
Dredgehaunt Cliffs

I only had a few minutes during lunch to try. If you guys have updates to the list (as they will be rolling it out to more zones) let us know here! Timberline is awesome, make sure you check it out!

Brisban Wildlands and Fields of Ruin are both currently Megaservered as well.

The quickest way to check, besides looking for contested waypoints when not in the zone, is to check your location in the guild interface when in a zone, or check the location of someone else in said zone. If it doesn’t list a server name (or Overflow) after the zone, if it just says “Fields of Ruin” for example, then it’s a Megaserver zone.

I have a hard time believing Divinty’s Reach isn’t on the megaserver, it was more packed than LA was during holidays on my server. Also the Grove is definitely on the megaserver, saw a bunch of people posting their home servers.

Hopefully I’ll be able to test the finer points of the megaserver sometime soon as far as grouping up with friends from different servers and having the server sort us into the same district of a city.

At least as of last night I wasn’t able to meet up with a guild member from another server without grouping up before entering a megaserver zone.

I’ve heard people say DR was on Megaserver but then they backed it out. I asked and nobody responded in mapchat, so I’m not sure.
