Hi, it is my understanding that the Asian market and the Western market get the same living story content.

So with that said i would like to voice my concern over the rewards within new living story content, mainly loot drops, tier 5, tier 6 mats perhaps silver from instanced living story quests.

The above need to be different over both regions, based on the massive difference in the maturity of the markets.

For example, Bazaar of the four winds is currently in both regions, the loot has massively been altered to accommodate new players withing the economy of the Asian market, or at least that’s what makes the most sense to me.

I mean a new player getting scaled to lvl 80 is a great enough right? No need to flood them with T5 T6 silver just yet is there?

I understand this change and i understand it was needed although is it right that in future content we get the same reward systems as an extremely immature economy?

I stress please do not cookie cutter the loot tables/ reward structures to both markets.

If any Dev/mod etc can shine some light on this issue that would be awesome as I am alittle concerned.

I’m not sure it’s because of the Asian market (though there are good arguments for that)… there’s already been a trend toward no-loot mobs (see world boss adds, for example), so the lootless mobs in the Pavilion is not that surprising.

It has nothing to do with the games Chinese release. It was exactly the same last year. Why would it be different this year. The game always has new players and old players. They’ve done it in a way that works out for everybody.

If my memory serves me correct the adds/ non champ mobs even the champs spawned loot last year.

Yea Kuru thats a good point very similar.

There are other examples of changes in the quality of loot, the mini games for instance. I kinda get it why we dont get champ chests while doing world bosses but minigames seems abit extreame.

LS big events came out about a year ago at about the same time champs where given a guaranteed loot bag. When they cam out people where on the forums demanding the loot be changed because people where killing the champs instead of finishing the event. As time went on ANET changed it to be a big reward for finishing everything and people complained that the champs dropped nothing. They have gone a little overboard in the latest release but it is what people asked for. Wait a bit and there will come again a day that people ask that there be no loot except at the end of the event.

The add at some events drop no loot because they once did, and people just abused the heck out of them. Invasions used to never complete because people all beloved up and scaled the mobs to champion status to farm boxes, Jormag never got dove because of the same reason, people verbally abused players destroying the cauldrons at that Orr event (I just did it anyways and /laugh), annnd so on.

I get why the QP mobs drop no loot. Can you imagine trying organise a gold attempt whilst there’s a Zerg if 50 people running rampant across zones? I like the idea of rewarding people for organisation and good gameplay but open Workd rauds just don’t work, and even if you get gold, the rewards just aren’t remotely worth it.

Why? Their game is completely separate to ours. If Anet want’s to give them rewards they aren’t high enough levels to use then so what? It has no impact on you whatsoever.

I think the OP is saying he wishes our loot would not be scaled down to fit the Chinese Release’s economy. That our market is much more mature, and that rewards that might hurt the Chinese game’s economy would not impact ours, as much.

Why should they? They’re chasing the Asian market. US/EU can kitten it.
