We know that GW2 probably will not get the expansion pack only free living story content (mostly temporary.)

I think that most of the players that are playing now and those who are taking a break would like to play on new zones/map of the Tyria with PoI’s Vistas, JP’s, mini dungs, quests, subquests, hearts, events, meta-events and more, new lvl cap, new classes, new races.

It seems to me that AN did not want to make expansion like for GW, because it would split the community of the game. Not that big community. 4-5kk people bought the game and still playing is 1kk not more.
The new expansion would mean adding things to main game and only for expansion.
Expansion can’t have lvl-cap, new skills, new traits due to WvWvW and sPvP balance.
One player with GW2 would have lvl 80 and player with expansion would have higher lvl, new skills, new traits etc.
It;s not going to work.

AN don’t want to make/release a expansion, is there any problem to make such expansion for which we would have to pay e.g.
-15$-20$ or
4-6k gems?
And things related to LvL, skills, traits would be common for GW2 and GW2 with expansion.

I would buy such extension.

Stop making up numbers to try to prove your point. You don’t know how many people are playing…why make it up. Your point can stand alone without making up numbers. Once you resort to making up numbers, anyone who doesn’t agree with your assessment will simply dismiss you. Is that what you want.

On the topic of expansion Anet did NOT say there would never be an expansion. They said right now the main path forward is the living story. But they also said there were people working on more larger permanent content and that they might be able to open up new areas or add new races or classes even with the living story structure.

I know a lot of people are locked into the past and believe how things were is the only way to do things, but we don’t really know. Is it really better to wait for an expansion and have people not play for months on end after they beat the content (as happens in WoW) or is this better.

I don’t know anyone can say, since no one has tried this before.

Correct that a level cap increase is completely unneeded and would not work. However there is zero reason not to include new traits, skills and such. Agreeing with the first reply ITT, you’re just making up a bunch of BS.

Just read the title, but I’m going to assume that Living Story runs a mega zerg all day and spawn camps Permanent Content while they run very few small team tactics and Price sits in the corner eating glue because nobody cares about it. Also they lost Garrison.

I agree that the level cap increase is pointless. Also we shouldn’t let arenanet get away with not finishing a full ascended set. Including underwater items.
However I would like new traits/reworked traits on my ele. Don’t forget that we have minor traits and the ele’s fire minors are terrible and don’t make sense. The air trait rework was great though, hopefully they can get that creative on minor traits too.
Also new weapon types and new weapons available to professions would be awesome.
