Loading Time Increased Dramatically?
Probably has a lot more info. Also HDD speeds and Ram can vastly affect load times.
I find it varies, but it’s just as likely to be due to something on my end or inbetween (I have a nagging suspicion my ISP has throttled back my service since they brought out a new package and tried to get me to upgrade) as anything on Anet’s end.
Today it was very quick.

My loading times increased this last week – I have no idea why.

I had this on my first login this morning, but when I logged in again this afternoon, all was normal speed.
Another thing is that the game has to load when I want to waypoint to a waypoint in the same zone that I am in, not all that far from where I am. I have a top of the line computer. The game is obviously poorly optimized in this regard.
