is shockingly bad. It takes up to a minute to load a map for the first time, every time I log in. The majority of games I’ve played this year — all with significantly better graphics — take far less time to load. I recently completed Dishonored, the maps literally loaded in 5 seconds. FIVE SECONDS.

But even worse than that is the draw distance of other players. I’m running around and constantly see players fading in to view literally 5ft in front of me. This is horrendous and completely ruins the enjoyment of a game that is supposed to be an mmo.

Well that is one thing I don’t understand about this game. I have no problem with zones as opposed to the big open world (like Rift, WoW etc). However once a zone loads I don’t expect loading withing a zone. This happens when a I chose a “far away” way point to teleport to within the same area.

Why does the game give me another loading screen? Most of the times the way points aren’t that far away either.

In my opinion once I load a zone I don’t need to see another loading screen unless I leave that zone. It is a bad system that adds tediousness to an otherwise awesome world.

An SSD helps somewhat with the loading times, they are still longer then they used to be though. It does nothing at all for the atrocious distance other players are drawn at though, some nasty culling or something going on
