He’s a beta male through and through, yet his role is like the best warrior and leader humanity has to offer?

This is what confuses me.

In my opinion all five of the Destinys edge crew are like members of a crappy teenage reality tv drama.

Not one of them has any common sense or maturity during the (badly written) story to make having them along anything other than obnoxious. I’m outright happy when they die during those runs, just upset I can’t kill ’em myself.

I swear if I could’ve joined Zhaitan I would’ve. Between they whiney kittens in DE and Trahearnes dull character I would’ve enjoyed working against Tyria quite nicely. Oh well..

Um, she’s his queen. He’s well and truly aware of that. He respects her rank and her importance to Kryta, rather than just viewing her as a hot chick he’s infatuated with. Whatever their romantic relationship (whether mutual or one-sided – and if she really wanted to acknowledge their romance, she would marry him surely, unless she’s holding out for a politically advantageous match) – anyway, whatever their romantic relationship, he works for her.

Why is he a ‘beta male’ because he doesn’t consider the fact that she’s a woman he likes to overrule the fact that she’s Queen of Kryta? If a king’s mistress stopped obeying his commands or started treating him informally in front of the court, would you not raise eyebrows? Rank before gender. It’s not that hard. Logan’s infatuated with Jennah and will bend over backwards for her, but more to the point, she out-ranks him.

I won’t go out of my way to defend Destiny’s Edge or the writing thereof, but they are meant to be thoroughly flawed characters. They are meant to be heroes rendered completely ineffective by their own conflicts (so yes, teenage drama). That’s where we come in, all fresh-faced and rational.

The reason why The Queen is not interested in Logan is CLEARLY because she is into Rytlock. He is 10x the person Logan is. Logan might be nice to look at but Rytlock is the leader type. If anyone is the kitten for the Queen, its definitely Rytlock!

Learn a little more about life and you’ll discover that a great many powerful leaders have exactly that sort of relationship. “Beta” status is some word made by boys who are scared of girls. Sounds like a cartoon character is threatening your own sense of masculinity. Heal thyself.

but thats why we are humans we much make always in live alot of choices

so in my few logan is a great leader for the humans

Logan has only known Jennah for about 7 years or so, she certainly hasn’t lead him on their entire life. If you read Edge of Destiny, you can clearly see that she is into him from all the letters they have been sending each other, as well as his quick promotion from a scout to leader of the Seraphs. As for some of his “beta” tendencies (crap word btw), I believe it has something to do with his older brother who used to look down on him and tear him down at every opportunity.

But yeah, I never liked the DE. They don’t do anything, together or not. It was me and four other dudes that always saves the day.

Because the other characters are written better?

1. Caithe. Seriously, get over her.
2. Zojja. Self-proclaimed genius blames Eir for Snaff’s death. Apparently not smart enough to do anything about it, huh?
3. Rytlock. Replace “Queen Jennah” with “Black Citadel” and he would’ve done the same thing.
4. Eir. Why are you taking crap from a midget…

Also, you HAVE to realize that every encounter between Jennah and Logan, they had to play down their relationship, right?
