Not true, they had a down time in the 3 day head start, the servers overloaded something bad, they had to stop online sales of GW2 and the servers were down for a few hours then too. But I agree with you

The thing with this kind of situations is every1 expects a dev to come online and say what the issue is and how long will it be till they fix it. But have you people rly thought about that request? WTF is dev supposed to say?
“We have absolutely no kittening idea what the problem is and until we figure it out we can’t find a fix”?
Cause I am sure if it was sth simple and they knew exactly what it was they would have fixed it by now.

I for one was camping the trade post with some money invested. I have no idea when the game will be online and how much will I lose if I’m not there when it gets online. Still, i know it can’t be helped. So what am I supposed to do now, scream at Anet, demand my money back? I knew the risk.

It’s a game and you do it for fun. If you can’t play it for whatever reason find sth else to do or, at this hour, if you’re from EU go to sleep. Whatever you were doing in game can wait.

And when devs figure out what the problem was you will be able to play it once again. Be it this evening or tomorrow.

I was able to login ffor like 1 second. Made it onto the character select screen. Ain’t nuthin gonna stop me. I’m coming to give those hamsters a piece of my mind.

well, i guess it’s time to get the emulator started and resume my last persona 3 session!

I must say the average GW2 player is very disciplined and mature. I know for a fact that forum boards of other games would be exploded because of keyboard barbarians when something like this happens.
