I’ve made it to 80 but unfortunately my character still looks nubish Of course I want to look kitten but I don’t know any other way of getting cool armor other than dungeon vendors. Endlessly running dungeons seems like a long long road. Is there a cool looking cheap set of armor that I can transmute or some easy way to get some??? Or am I stuck with these dungeon vendors :P

Dungeon armour, gemstore armour, the armour set of your order, various karma armours etc.

You can either use one of the armour listing websites or go into the pvp lobby and preview armour at the gear lockers to see what they actually look like.

Everyone does not have the same preferences. For example, many people consider Tier 3 cultural gear to be the best armor in the game, but I don’t like most of the cultural armors of any tier. I don’t care for most of the dungeon armors, either. Especially the CoF “look at me, I’m on fire!” armor.

I’ve picked up most of my favorite armor skins for a handful of silver on the TP and used transmute stones/crystals to create a unique look for each alt.

Well, you can go to the HQ of your Order and see if you like their iconic armor, it’s very cheap.

Also look at the iconic armor for any race in their hometown (the three sellers with azure helm icon on the map). While the 3rd set is very expensive, the first two ones are cheap enough, and they usually provide good looking pieces.

Otherwise, one of the best ways to look armor up is the TP: choose the pieces that you like the most.

Dungeon runs are not so long and are not so hard, you get a good amount of tokens per day.

Also check this site http://www.gw2armor.com/ to see what you like the most.

Go to the heart of the Mists (sPvP – the crossed swords icon on the upper left). You can review all the armor in the game from the “PvP locker” there.

Pick your race, armor type (light, medium, heavy) – you can even play around on a very limited basis with dye selection.

When you find something you like, check the wiki to see where to get it.

http://www.gw2armor.com/ works better than argos imo even you cannot choose any dyes.

The PvP locker is great for experimenting with mixing armors and checking how all the sets looks on your toon (even if the same race and gender as those on the site, the experience of it can still be way different when you see it on your own toon)
I have spent much time in the PvP locker to experiment, also experimenting with dyes by previewing them from tp.

You can make more gold now that you’re 80.

Buy from the TP, you could probably get a full exotic set for 10g
