Q:
Is using LFG Tool an acceptable use for trading items or is this something that should be reported for abuse?
I am noticing a growing trend with LFG being used in this way. Personally I think it’s a bit risky. But some of the prices are much cheaper than on TP, and you have the ability to bargain, if only a little.
After all there is no “Trade P2P” option, just dungeons and living world.
Just curious….
We are still waiting to hear from Gaile on this issue:
I think we could give more information on this subject, so I’m going to see what I can find out.
Thank you for a thought-provoking discussion.

It should be obvious that the LFG tool was meant for group content, whether it’s PvE or PvP. Selling items is definitely an abuse of the system.
Thanks Lazaar, did not see that post. My searches kept turning up TP stuff.
JustTrogdor, Sounds like we should just report them.
Nexxe, it is obvious in my opinion.
It’s something Anet heavily discourages, but it’s not (at the time of writing) against any rules or a bannable offense.

If a price looks too good .. it mostly is.
And ANet has said it often enough that you will NOT get your stuff back if you get
scammed.
I report all the kittens using LFG to trade as abusing the LFG tool, because it is. People are trying to use it to find groups and it is all that much easier trying to sort through all the buying and selling crap.
