I’m a huge vanity freak, and In ever MMORPG i play i go to great lengths to find armor and vanity items that fit my style.

Well I’m playing a Norn ranger here in GW2, I absolutely love the build and charcter archetype and the character I’ve built. Shes an incredible avatar at least in my eye’s but there’s something glaringly irritating about her. Nothing wrong with her, but what she wears.
What she looks like right now is such a farcry different from my other avatars. Which have all worn things which are rather extravagant, or outlandish.
I don’t know if i could post screenshots of my other avatars to help maybe assist with ideas, but I’m looking for something…Interesting to find and make a set out of.

I like a mixture of some exposure(clevege or something more exotic), and coverage.
My castanic and blood elf are great examples of this. but i also love things that are outlandish and very provoking of power or inhuman yet very decoractive designs(my Fiona and Lon Femina were very big examples of this).

I’ve looked through medium armors in game and I’ve tried to find something interesting, without success.
One thing i really liked was Eir Stegalkin’s armor. Isn’t there something like that for rangers?

I’m just at a bit of a loss trying to find something I really like.

Also since I was looking at them, how do the armor skins work? They work for combat armor? are they reusable?
Advice or suggestions would be great.

Eir Stegalkin’s armour I believe is t3 medium cultural norn armour, find your cultural armour merchant and buy it off them for about ~110g for the set.

Where are the cultural vendors at?

Look in Hoelbrak for yours, I believe they have a little blue helmet icon on the map.

I highly recommend mixing and matching armor sets. Once you’ve got a few pieces you think would be interesting, just /whisper the chat codes to yourself and preview it on your model.

Armor skins can be applied to any armor, but only once. After that, you’ll have to use Tranmutation Stones.
People tend to like Duelist Armor. Unfortunately for you, most medium armor is quite plain, although combining pants that usually come with a trenchcoat with upper body armor that isn’t a trenchcoat can lead to hilarious results. For example, Norn T1 cultural pants are mini shorts with thigh boots. Who knew the warrior race was into that.

I’m a huge mixer and matcher; and a good dye job can do wonders for an outfit you didn’t like at first. The Krytan armor is pretty decent, though the shoulder pieces ain’t really my style so I use something different. The medium legacy armor, if you’re coming from GW1 can be mixed and colored pretty well.

It’s the Order of Whispers chest piece.

You can get it from the Chantry of Secrets.

If you’re willing to put some money down for Transmutation Crystals, you can use an alt (if you didn’t choose order of whispers for your ranger) to get the armor and move it to your Ranger.
