Last couple of weeks or so i noticed some “apparent changes” in loot that I cannot confirm if it is bug or working as intended and i would like confirmation.
1- Kraka Queen: Folllowing a Tequatl kill (1 chest/day/character) i would take taht character to kill Kraka and always got a chest so I believed it was also 1chest/day/character. From around a week or two i noticed i only get 1 chest in kraka per day per account not character is this as intended?
2- Lion’s Arch release notes on rewards states that killing a knight would grant you some designated loot. Since the release I noticed depending on fixes (not sure if being on overflow vs main map makes any difference) repeatedly getting loot from just 1 knight, repeatedly getting loot from all kinghts killed, and finally repeatedly getting no loot at all from killing knights. Is it currently working as intended (or what was intended)?
I am not looking for complaint on loot just want to know if this is working as intended.

I know I haven’t gotten loot from the assault knights since day 1 of the release (when I got one for each knight I killed).
1.) Karka queen’s physical chest was changed from unlimited to once per day per account. This was changed 4-6 weeks ago.
2.) There is currently a loot bug involved for watchknights.

While I don’t agree with such a general statement, it is true that GW2 is rather lacking when it comes to rewards versus effort put in.
I think they feel that players are cool with only getting blues, greens, and yellows as rewards, when that couldn’t be further from the truth. I just don’t see why they wouldn’t replace guaranteed Rares from events with guaranteed Exotics.
I mean seriously…at this point Rares are like Masterwork, nobody cares.
I’m not for or against the loot drops, but if Exotics dropped as freely as Rares, then wouldn’t they become just like Masterworks? So common, no one would care?

We will use the current LS event as an example.
Prior to the change/bug (all is speculation right now)
There were 3 knights – each dropping 5 boxes.
There was then the illusion event which if complete drops 1 chest.
While not amazing rewards by any means – at least it made doing the event appealing.
Fast forward to today and now for 1 hrs time investment in this game and the supposed conclusion of the LS what did we receive?
Currently the “possibility” to get 1 chest which has a dismal chance at getting anything worthwhile.
Do you not see the lack of reward in this system? Also it’s simply poor content design. You are relying on a group of 60+other people for your time not to be wasted. No matter how well you play or don’t play will not matter as your reward is based on the performance of a zerg pug.
At least prior it was not a complete waste of time failing the event as we received basically almost the same amount of boxes as if we did a champ train run for equal time. The biggest kicker is Anet has yet to respond to this issue which makes me assume it was intended.
If all stands as it is – This event does nothing now frustrate the player base and wastes their time.
I’m not sure what your response has to do with my statement about the rarity (or would-be rarity) of Exotics.
