Hi so i entered after a long time not playing guild wars 2 and i went cursed shore farming. i was surprised because i got 6 gold in 1 hour alot of rares and an exotic. its been a week from that 6 gold and i had been playing regularly but i only recieved 2 rares after that day what is going on??

You still received two rares, be glad you did… be glad you did.
I got 3 rares the day before yesterday farming, and I was in Orr less than 2 hours. I got 4 rares last night. My wife was with me. She only got one rare on the first day but an exotic and two rares last night. She took magic find food. My magic find was much higher.
I’m not saying people are lying when they say they’re not getting drops. One thing that I think I’ve noticed, and I can’t back this up at all, is that certain of my characters seem luckier than other characters. If I farm on my mesmer, I get better drops than if I farm on my engineer. He hardly ever gets anything decent, my mesmer gets stuff all the time.
And I’m finding out my warrior, he’s pretty lucky too. Just weird.
I go a long time without exotics, but rares? I see them often enough . . . I just don’t think on them since I’m usually breaking them down for Ectoplasm.

i don’t really belive that rares count too much. In the end 2 piles of crystaline dust = rare or 2 t6 mats. you will end up from 2 gold to 6-7 /hours (without counting exotics) depending on how good party you got and your magic find. I usualy farm 4 + g /h with 27% magic find , cause i got high dps and always party.
