I lost 25 laurels because i didn’t know you can only equip 1 same trinket. There should be some system where you can sell the item back and get you laurels back if you do it soon after purchase.

I’d open a ticket with support.

Write a ticket. To support. You’re the…. 37th person I’ve seen do this and complain on the forums to which they were instructed to ask support. Go. Go naaaaao.

Like above, a ticket will get this taken care of.
For future purchases:
When you see the words “Unique”, it means you cannot have that exact item equipped in 2 places.

But I mean, I guessed it was the case. Why else 2 of each stat? Who cares about offensive and defensive slots?

Save it for a different character since they’re account bound.

We see this same thread over and over again. At this point, even if Anet is technically not “at fault” for the misunderstanding, from a customer service point of view, they should do something to make it more clear to players that you can only equip one of these at a time.

Ah, but you see, every time a player makes this mistake, they have to, potentially, play another 25 days.

Map chat is your best friend

Get with CS, they should sort it out for you rather quickly, no company would want to lose a player over this.

Talk to support, but learn to read a bit more closely it will save you grief in the future.

except the word “unique” only appears when you are already viewing a tooltip, making an additional tooltip inside of a pre-existing tooltip kind of redundant and difficult to achieve.

Here’s a good question.

Why are they unique to begin with? What’s the point?
