So, I had to work today and missed the noon “event”. No biggie, that’s life. Get home tonight, go to Lions’ Arch, talk to all the folks and then proceed to Kessex Hills. First NPC (the Assassin) is bugged and does nothing (though it is funny to watch all the players cursing in chat). No, problem stuff happens. Move on to Caledon Forest, and the poor quaggan is also bugged. Well, this is getting annoying (more interesting chat though). Move to the last location and you guessed it. And on top of that, I’m now being spammed every few minutes with the email telling me to go talk to the NPCs that are bugged.

Makes me smile. Oh, and to really top off the evening…I’m a Ranger. Today’s Ranger fixes…just icing on the cake.

Obligatory constructive comment: Please fix the bugged NPCs for the Lost Shore event. Thanks.

You didn’t miss anything more than a laggy zergfest for the event. The servers aren’t capable of handling such large masses in one area; not sure why Anet thought they would when they’ve been shown to have similar issues before. Combined with all the bugs – not sure exactly what we’re supposed to take away from this event. It sure won’t be an epic feeling of adventure and excitement, unless the finale is a total turnaround.

I hate to be to pessimistic, and usually I’m an optimist. But today’s event was perhaps too ambitious server-wise, seeing as they are rather incapable of holding up under the stress. (yes, it’s free trial event too – that definitely adds)
