So i logged on today and seen I got the Lost Shores rewards I was jipped out of. I ended up with the shell back piece, The bag, and a cool looking chest piece for light armor wearers. Also some assorted junk items not to serious. What did you guys get let me know anyone get lucky precursors?

easy schnuffles, might get it later and even if you don’t it’s not like you’re getting something taken away. Anet didn’t even need to do this, just be happy that the company is cool enough to send out what they did

I got a precursor off it not the one I wanted BUT I’m not being picky! Still love what I got!

I’m guessing the loot was toned down for the mail chests since Guildies that didn’t even login for the event got one and others who were not disconnected and got the actual event chest got another one mailed.

I got an Ancient Karka Shell, Shiro’s Mask, another exotic, two rares and the bag.

Eesh… this is going to be a trading post headache this week, if they mail duplicates to some players but not others; the players who didn’t get duplicates will complain. if they mail a chest to EVERYONE, then the glut in precursors and exotics will destroy some of the markets (Though I can see ways to leverage it too to my advantage)

Either way; turbulent days ahead :p

Yes. Also some people who were there didn’t get the chest. So I’m hoping that patience will play a key role in this…. I pray this to be the case!

A few of my guild mates got a chest mailed to them, and they were at the event and looted the chest. I was thinking maybe it had something to do with them switching characters at the end of the event to try and get into another overflow to do it again.

Still haven’t gotten anything.

I think as explained by Anet in one of their previous post, players who went to another overflow to do it again was not considered an exploit since they put in just as much effort as a new player to complete the event. Thus they are entitled to another chest I suppose.

Problem here is people want socialism where everyone is equal and when someone gets more then them even though they worked more for it they demand the same or a deduction on the other person to feel fair.

Just be happy with the compensation and move along. It’s surprising Anet was able to implement this solution to begin with. Good job on their part

I got ‘Dawn’, which can get me 240 gold now, compared with 98 gold I have made from playing GW2 since release, sooo excited! xD

Congrats, that’s a great drop!

I don’t know why, but I got a chest. I thought we had to submit a ticket (which I didn’t). Mine had a couple medium rares, exotics were heavy shoulders with a nice rune, and a carrion-style longbow.

How is it even an exploit?

It’s simply using your brain. Any MMO that has had different instances of the same zone have had people jumping instances to farm.

I’m glad everyone is getting a chest – even people that weren’t there. It was a dumb idea to do a time-boxed event for one day only when you have a global product targeted toward a casual audience who shouldn’t be expected to put their life on hold for some event in a game.

For the record, I was there that day, ran the event, and got my chest. I don’t care who gets rewarded – it’s not a zero-sum game. Maybe next time ArenaNet will be smarter about event scheduling.

I got nothing… not the first time when I got disconnected near the end of the event after fighting all that lag…. and not in the mail.

I got the bag, karka shell, 2 of the named exotic armors (can’t remember the exact ones off the top of my head) a rare armor piece and a rare bow.

Very happy i got the bag, i logged in the first day but decided to skip the rest of the event because the lag was unbearable the entire first day. Would have been happy with just getting the bag lol. My only complaint still is missing out on the final boss itself but i guess i’ll live.

Nothing as I refused to go to the last event as there was no way my machine could have handled it despite that I did all of part 1 and 2. I don’t even know where the thing is…

When you got an kitten community that doesn’t help you or tell you where stuff is, why bother?

edit: This was during the event, I didn’t realize there were chests mailed when I read this.

2 exotics; one i salvaged w/ black lion kit and got 0 ectos [was <1g on TP] and 1 I sold on TP for around 1.8g. 2 rares; got 2-3 ectos from both[not each] I think. And ofc the bag and the ring. Overall, a good haul IMO. Especially since I never specifically participated in the 1-time event.

Hmm Yumiko I got lost once and just found my own way back to the crowd. My only advice I can give you on that is don’t rely on anyone.

I got some rare Orrian pants, a rare wooden shield, “Yakingtons Gauntlets”, the exotic trident “Steamfire”, and the bag/ring.

My wife just got a precursor staff yea I’m about to rage at the loot gods…….She wasn’t even there I know that for a fact. Because she crashed long before the Ancient Karka was even out.

A least you got it unlike me… sad face. And that crappy ring would be surely better than my green ring.

Still haven’t gotten anything, and I participated in the event and didn’t get to loot the chest due to lag (FPS was down to 9, not a joke) and invisible mobs. What is going on here, did I just get ignored? Has everyone who is going to get the compensation chest already got it?

Anet you guys really need to learn how to manage a mmo properly. Pissing off random sections of your player base isn’t a good idea.

I accidentally send my chest to a low level character and jipped myself out of anything cool. I feel rather stupid right now. But you guys won’t make fun of me for making a silly mistake and not blaming anyone but myself for it, right? Right?

Nothing… i did not attend to the event, simply because i had rl issues and honestly i didn’t care that i was not able to get loot form it.

However… now that they are giving chests to people who have managed to loot/weren’t online during the event….

Gw2 is staring to become the king of rng,…. even getting a mail with free loot (and possibly precursor’s) is random now.

they would have done better if they just NEVER promised and so NEVER handed out ANY comepnsation…just a short “sorry, will be better in the future” would have been the better solution.

Now they just showed again, that they cant handle their own game and datas and just produce broken (or random) scripts. They rewarded ppl who shouldnt hvae been rewarded (know some of my friends) and didnt reward ppl who participated the vent for hours and dint llot the chest.

OMG i rather they didn’t give those chest at all. People who are not suppose to be getting the chest are getting it.

Anet is beginning to look like another FF14. It’s so filled with bugs and glitchy events. Its as though this game is still in its beta stages and not suppose to be release yet……. wait I think games in beta still didn’t have as much bugs as this. And I though D3 was bad when they release it. But at least Blizzard was quick in fixing all those important bugs and they fixed it right.

yes and no, the “lucky break” you are talking about is gamechanging… gamechanging rng, the possibility of jumping up 200gold just because you got a mail is not right.

(yes i am aware precursor’s in the mail are rare, however there have been quite some people that received one…. again i stress for free, for not doing ANYTHING!)

20 slot bag, karka shell, couple exotics and rares I couldnt use, but sell for a few gold. A welcome reward!
