It is heavily implied that the Lost Shores will add new content to GW2 permanently. How will this new content affect the capstone for exploration? Will explorer stars become faded? Will the title ‘Been there. Done that.’ deactivate? Will the gifts of exploration simply vanish, or will this be exploitable to obtain many such gifts with ease?

Well I’m not saying I know nor is this the truth. But I believe if it is removed(although I don’t think it will be) you wont get explorer gift again, it was a one time character thing.

Moving on, I doubt it will fade away, it maybe increased for those who haven’t done it before.

From the information ive read so far the Lost Shores will be a instanced island map similar to the Halloween Labyrinth map. There will be a storyline over the relevant weekend culminating in one or more maps changing to incorporate new content. This new content will most likely be a change in scenery and mobs in certain areas and may include a new world boss.

As a result the exploration side of things should be unaffected as there are no new permanent maps. But all of the above is speculation based on a few sentences and past events in WoW (that I didnt take part in) so I could be wrong.

Note: Im not including the new dungeon in this. I presume it will be available on an existing map.

I’m hoping they’ll just add another “tier” of world completion. And judging from the Mad King’s Labyrinth zone, they might not add any world completion tasks to the new zone since they’ve mentioned that it’s not that big.

im guessing its going to get its own zone 100% achievement, but i dont think it will end up counting toward the meta of worldwide map completion , wich makes sense as then they dont have to change anything for the ones that already got it, all they get is anew achieve slot and makes it fair for everyone regardless

TLDR: i think you wont need lost shore to get 100 map completion, but it will get its own zone achieve just like every other zone
