That’s too bad. I like having as many of those as I can get.

I went to ‘tag’ my dailies so the ones I’m going to do are the only ones showing, as I do each morning. I’m tagging along at the usual suspects, I see I’ll need some Shiverpeaks kills today, maybe I’ll spend some time doing some map completion with my Mesmer in Wayfarer for that. See there’s a dungeon story, probably won’t do that, too much anxiety for me. Guess this will be a ‘7’ day instead of an ‘8’ day.

Close the window, that’s odd? I thought the tracker showed 6, I don’t see the ‘show more’? I must have missed one. Go back in, look again, nope, picked everything I’d pick, still 6.

Three WvWs. Oh. :|

Sure, I suppose if WvW folks would like more things to do, that’s great, but I’m not really following the logic as to why ‘The Dailies’ must be a finite pie? So, you throw in a WvW, awesome! More choices! Why did I then have to ‘lose’ a choice?

I remember when there were upwards of ‘10’ dailies I could do each day. That was great. Didn’t have to do them, no one was forcing me, but I liked them.

Is it some sort of obsessive compulsive thing where you couldn’t stand to see an odd number of boxes? Add another one! Add another WvW one to have 4! I wouldn’t do it, but at least you wouldn’t take one away from me. Add a PvP one, then they’d have 3 too, and I’d still have my ‘8’ (‘7’ when there’s a dungeon or fractal).

Always with the taking.

How do you get 25 badgers?

You should have several hundred from AP chests.

Usually you get 100 badges from achievement point chests. If you use 50 of them at the karma merchant in WvW (which doesn’t involve WvW, just traveling to that outpost for free), you can buy a drop of liquid karma. I think it costs two laurels two, but it will give you rank up chests which are pretty cool, and up your WvW level if you ever want to get a legendary.

Thanks (everyone).

When you say you get them from Achievement Point chests, does that mean the daily chests you get for doing 5? Or the monthly chest?

I use to WvW, and still have badges, but realize looking at my count now, after maybe 8 months ago buying a full set of armor for a character, and finally making Bifrost a few months back after working on it for 2 years (yay!), I still have ‘way’ more badges then I think I should, so they are coming from somewhere.

Liquid karma it is. After buying my legendary and not needing the daily infusion of T6 mats so much, I don’t really spend my laurels on anything, so that’s perfect.

And I just now realized the new monthlies started, which is fun because I like doing the 12 puzzles out of about 14-15 easy puzzles I picked out.

Thanks again.

Achievement point chests are the rewards you get for reaching 500, 1000, 10000 etc points account wide that’s where they are coming from.

Oh yeah, forgot about those chests. 13 points away from 13.5!

For strictly open world PvE players there were exactly 5 things in the actual daily :

daily gatherer
do 5 events
do 4 events in Shiverpeaks
make a level up
revive 10 players / NPCs

So its possible to complete without dungeons or WvW, but was the worst daily
in regards of choices for me since a loooong time.

It only takes a single Jormag event (or Maw if people are slow) to do all those dailies.

The regional event dailies have always been there, just waaaay less common, as with almost all previous dailies that can’t be completed in WvW/PvP, as since the 4/15 patch, the focus for dailies always has been: Player should complete them in competitive play, even if they don’t like it. For example the “use the Mystic Forge” daily, which I previously used to make my clovers slowly but surely, has been on about once a week pre-patch, but I have seen it three times at most since the 4/15 patch hit.

Tend to agree that todays Dailies took some added effort to obtain. Nothing groundbreaking, but there were fewer PvE only ones available. That’s not a huge deal if it happens every so often…..just saying.

Didn’t notice one of them was to spend 25 badges (saw the WvW and skipped on by as I was in combat when setting them up to view).

Problem is .. i did Jormag just 25 minutes before the daily reset

Also .. no .. you don’t get a level-up on every Jormag event and also its often hard
to get 10 people to revive.

Mhmm .. and the 5 normal events are sometime also hard to get .. Svanir Shaman
is maybe even better for that ^^

The dailys were like this after the first feature patch i think, and then they were
changed after a while.I don’t hope we get back now to that point

EotM is pretty much a PvE karma train. About 80% of the time you will not see other players. You’re more likely to get 25 badges before you see them. If you dislike EotM because it is a PvE karma train, then real WvW shouldn’t be a problem for you.

I know that place .. but mostly i go Dredgehaunt Cliffs, look for the Veteran possible partner double-event and go revive some grawls there after that

Its just that things like “kill 50” .. “salvage 10 items” .. “condition-damage / remove” can be done while you just do your normal stuff.

I like WvW (the real one) but don’t always have time to get my dailies in there when I have limited time to play. Today, since I needed events in Shiverpeaks zone, I went to Frostgorge, and by doing Trio and Coil Watch event chain, I got everything I needed, plus 50% of my champ kills for the monthly to boot, plus exotic weapon drop worth 7g and 25 champ boxes, etc. All in all not bad for 40 mins. I called it a win.

Anyway, I thought they should have MORE choices for daily, not less.

Well I’d wait until the daily reset today and see if we still have three WvW daily achievements. It could be that they added the older ones back into rotation. I know that they added variability with the achievements between players as some accounts may get slightly different achievements.

Is it really so unreasonable to have 3 WvW related dailies during a WvW tournament? You can still easily get your 5 without going to WvW or PvP, and as has been pointed out you don’t actually have to do any WvW to do one of those three.

I always thought the point of dailies was that I wouldn’t have to go out of my way to do them.

If I have to stop my normal game play to go jump through the one daily hoop, it’s annoying. Regardless of how I normally play — if I never set foot in WvW, then I should have plenty of non-WvW choices. If I never set foot out of WvW, then I should have plenty of WvW choices. If I want to spend all my time in sPvP, I should have (surprise!) plenty of sPvP choices. And obviously if I split my time, I should have oodles of kaboodles of choices for my daily.

In short, more choices good, less choices bad.
