I’ve always felt that we’ve lacked a lot of fun and useful emotes.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I went to /roar or /flex, then realized that these aren’t available in this game.

If ANet put the option for additional emotes in the gem store, they’d get some extra cash from me.

Haha, yeah. Usually when I try to make an emote that happens ^^

Should be in the game by default really… guess the community would be a bit upset if they had to purchase common emotes

Race and class emotes would be nice such as Char getting a purr emote (i know a lot of ppl would love that for there char) say norn getting a /drink emote hehe etc.. for the other races. As for the class may be having an ele jugle fire balls daggers for thfs i cant think of more but i images the possibility are great.

A lot of the charr npc’s do a dramatic roar here and there, I was so disappointed when I realized my charr couldn’t do that. =(

I like this idea. I’m a big fan of emotes, makes things fun when people are down or just to add a bit of extra personality to your character.
I think they did a pretty good job with emotes considering a lot of games that have them don’t include vocalizations. Eg. the laugh, cry, dance etc. all have voices included which makes them feel a lot more realistic rather than looking like your character is a mime.
If I were to request more emotes though I’d probably want;
/flex
/flirt
/ashamed
/taunt
/impatient

Racial emotes
Charr: (as someone has mentioned which would be great) /purr

Sylvari: /bloom (something similar to a stretch but maybe they temporarily grow flowers for the duration of the animation)

Asura: /invent /create /tinker (something to that effect where they might sit down and look as though they’re building a simple toy)

Norn: (also as someone suggested) /drink (and maybe they look a bit wobbly after)

Human: /phone (for teh lolz. Make it look like they’re on a cellphone)

Also, the /surprised emote is literally the only game emote that as ever made me actually “lol.” The speed of it is so inhuman and comical I love it.

/taunt = /threaten

I want to have:
/neenerneenrneener or /nahnahnahnahnahnahnah
I expect it will look something like:

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but if you take a command like “/roar”, or “/flex” it doesn’t give you “Unknown Command”, but if you take something that wasn’t in Guild Wars 1, it will give you the Unknown Command. That always made me think they would be implemented at some point.

I wouldnt mind if a /sigh emote made it into the game.
I just keep running into situations where i find i type it almost automatically wishing it was there only to find an error message.

I would love to see more emotes in general. When you play for a long time, emotes tend to keep things fun.

I would like to see a new/ next level of emotes when dealing with NPC’s.

Guild Wars 2 has this in place already with everyone’s own personal story- we could use specific emotes related to the specific choices we made at character creation.

different emotes/walking/figting stances according to your alignment, that would be awesome

You might be onto something there.

I would like /sigh. I’m really quite amazed that there aren’t more emotes in the game. It’s such a great world for RP yet there are so few RP options (emotes, sitting in chairs, etc). It’s fairly disappointing honestly.

Please make /airplane an emote!

More voice emotes also, I fondly remember the days of all standing in the tunnel waiting for the gates to drop for an Alterac Valley BG in WoW and some clown drops a train track set causing everyone to spam emote /train. Those male gnomes always had the final say as their emote sound went marginally longer than everyone else. Good times!

Someone on Maguuma was begging for gold in map chat the other day. I typed /beg through force of habit from GW and nothing happened, sad.

I’m just scared that the future emotes will come in books in the gemstore for 800 gems and takes space on your utility slots.
