Hey all. Finally bought game and love it. A few small gripes, that are maybe coming in a future patch?

1. The AH/Broker is very slow and not very practical. Listing items seems very slow and tedious.

2. I’m only level 25, but my gear hasn’t really changed. I think a game designed not for stats & gear grind would have a very large variety in skins for gear. It’s not to much fun earning new armour, only for it to look the same as your starting gear.

3. LFG. Guild Wars 2 is designed for casual play. Not having a LFG (in game, not through other inconvenient ways) makes finding groups for dungeons and champions etc very hard. I don’t want to be in a guild as I want to relax in an mmo now. A LFG is really needed for the “casual” player.

Can I also ask what it meant by “a new class will be added” last night?

I have been waiting for Neverwinter mmo for a while, but now I can’t be bothered to play it as I’m having so much fun playing this.

hi and welcome to the game.

1. I am not sure what you mean by slow, since I have never found it so- it does take time to get used to so maybe this is the case for you?

2. Generally low level sets come in 3 skin varieties that you can get via the personal story, one of those, I think, also a drop in the world.
You can get different skins from crafting and some heart vendors also sell nice skins.
Generally the variety opens up after lvl 35 or so when you will also have access to the Tier1 cultural skins.

3. Many people want this and they said they are working on it so it will come at some point. When I need help I generally just ask in map chat and that has worked for me.

As for a new class- where did you hear that? I would love to know since I didn’t think one was planned at this time- would be awesome though

Hope you have tons of fun!

Thanks for quick reply. :-) everyone seems so chilled, laid back and helpful in game. Glad to see it’s also in the forums.

I really hope the LFG comes into play. Doesn’t have to teleport you to dungeon.. Could be like Path Of Exile where ppl put on a notice board in game.

Glad about armour as that would really put me off :p

As for the “new class” it came up in yellow writing in my chat saying “a new class will be added in the next hour” this happened last night…. But don’t know what it means

I agree with most of your points, though I never had any trouble listing stuff on the marketplace. But an LFG tool is in the works.

As time goes on more looks will be added to the game. Just remember you’ll spend a disproportionate amount of time in this game at max level, so that’s where the skins will largely be focused.

‘A new build….’

Not a new profession, or as you call it, class.

That means a new patch is coming, and be prepared for the game to shut down, and start back up.

Welcome to Tyria. =)

Ahhh I think you mean new build- they do that when they patch so that you have time to finish up what you are doing.

I love playing around with armours in the game and I am sure they will add more as time goes on- as it is it is costing me a fortune but I just can’t help myself

You should check out the mix and match thread for some ideas

Ah, that makes more sense. At least I know next time not to broadcast it on map chat about a new class :p

One other question if anyone can answer.. If I get skins (fire etc) for my weapons, are they permanent or can they be used for all gear I acquire with that char?

Thanks again.

I agree with OP on all 3 points.

1.) The Trading Post interface is terrible. Not only is it slow, it lacks basic filters such as filtering out stuff I can’t use. It doesn’t remember your settings either.

2.) Low level skins are horrifically lacking. You generally look the same til you reach higher levels.

3.) Self-Explanatory.

Anyhow, welcome and hopefully things will improve as you stay.

You need to keep using transmute stones. You will be drowning in the under 80 ones very soon if not now. At 80 you need the fine ones which are a rare map complete reward or black lion chest drop. They are also in the store to be bought.
