Yeh, I didn’t get one either…but I did get a reminder of what a fun map SW is. I think I’ve neglected SW and DT far too much in the last few weeks, and I’ve had a lot of fun

I love SW, but dislike the lack of WP’s, but tbh, if it wasn’t for lag, I’d play it more. Only been getting lag in DT and SW.
No portal yet, but meh, who cares.

I farmed for a week in silverwastes with nothing. Decided to switch to Dry Top 40 mins after reset and got one within the first 5 mins.

I hate SW with a passion. It’s BORING. For most of the time it’s an endless repeat of the same handful of quests in 4 different locations, unless you go map hopping to zones where the boss fight is imminent. Which unsurprisingly quite a lot of people do….

I go to join SW map and it’s still level 1 nothing being done.. I wanna help but I’m by myself as map seems dead.. That or vinewrth just finish I go to swap maps and same situation. Very annoying but eventually map gets moving slowly. I hope portals still dropping.

i agre with the first postre grind many has seaing guilds and friends geting multy drop but i knew from start when it comes done to my my rng i suck ad it soo i wend for the loot made pit gold back and got all the merch items now only need to find 2 more mines in area and i got all the items from sw but it sad the made it rng for portals and sorry i am dyleic

Sw is a good test of your ability to organise strangers, and I love that about it

Yesterday, I was farming the Silverwastes and my mate was like “I farmed for quite a bit but had no luck. Lemme party with you. I’m sure, if I farm with you, the game will give me a portal to mess with you.”
20 minutes later, he got his portal
Well, that’s that. He has a portal and I don’t even care. He was the guy who brought me into GW2 in the first place and he spent way more time farming SW than me anyway. I don’t even know, whether I’d have the time to participate in the beta.

I was farming SW for the last week, too. Earned well over 5k bandit-crests but no portal.
At first I entered SW just for the portal. After a while I entered it because it’s fun, bot now it’s just tedious. Time to take a break from SW and do something else.

I had a reason to get back to SW. Love that area and its mechanics and I had lots of fun hunting for the portal.

You love that area. I disliked it (though slightly less than Dry Top) and its all-consuming meta mechanic from the beginning. Farming for carapace coat and mordrem parts for lumi achievement didn’t improve this at all. You can guess how much i liked the information that to get into beta i’d need to farm there. You can also guess how i feel about the zone (and the beta access selection method) now, after week of farming with no drop.

To me, it cemented how much I hated that area, especially in off hours when sometimes not even a single fort is stable. It’s boring, tedious and repetitive as all hell. I honestly don’t understand how people enjoy this content. Only positive is that I finally did Vinewrath, so there is that.

I personally didn’t care about it. I was not going to grind my kitten off so I could be able to test for ANet. Then again, I got the previous BETA and had my share.

To me this feels like they are squeezing all the juice they can from the hype to cover the real lack of content while we wait for the expansion.
