Loving this game
Forgot to mention:
The crafting system with the auto drop in bank collectibles, and the discovery recipes are FANTASTIC. The discovery recipes especially
Glad you are enjoying this game, as am I.
“Walk with the pack. In the eyes of Wolf, we are all brothers and sisters.”
200+ hours here and I’m still loving the game and discovering new things!
/thumbs up
I totally agree.
Welcome to your new addiction.
Awesome, still loving this game also.
Happy belated birthday for yesterday!
Welcome to Tyria.
Been playing since release and still enjoying it.
Drawing on the map.
Totally agree. Great game and I can find so much to do! It’s nice to give Anet some praise for a change. Keep up the good work folks!
Welcome kierg, and happy to see that you enjoy the game so much!
Same for me, although i haven’t been able to play a lot the last month (no Halloween event for me ) because my laptop crashed totally. But i’m saving for a new rig and start all again getting addicted to GW2

I’m a month in myself and LOVING it… I’ve one lvl 80 whom has finished his personal storyline and still has a TON left to do at endgame without even any thought of considering legendaries yet… What I’d love is a cool stuff you can do in Guild wars tip sheet..
Like I just found out that you can draw on the mini map while in a party.. Never knew that (in fact, as I type this, I can’t remember how I did it) but I’d also like to know how to mark where I am on map so like I can call for help on tough spots potentially. Is this possible? what other cool tips and tricks are there out there?
I’m glad there are more than just doomsayers here
Yay for enjoyment of a game
This game is about the journey not the destination, so try not to rush things to get to max level, take your time and explore the world
LOL I am trying to finish metrica province before I even leave there, so not trying to rush anything
:)
but that is good advice
Just got it today and also having a blast – circle strafing is a bit awkward – I would like to strafe while keeping the camera on my foe – but otherwise all is well with the world. Oh, except all of my multi-game guild are on a full server so I can’t join them
But the into and story aspects are nice – and the exploration is refreshing – like the graphic feel as well. I played the original GW a lot and like the changes here.
Kierg, welcome to GW2, despite it’s annoying flaws it’s an amazing game, join a guild asap though! Many guilds have been around since the 1st game and it’s like help on tap
@Paul
Haven’t joined a guild yet, because if I join a guild I won’t have the freedom to just not play for a while if stuff comes up, or if I am really starting to do something in the other MMO I play..
@DavsionACT
try holding down the right mouse key while moving, you can keep your camera on your enemy pretty easily
Kierg don’t misunderstand guilds (I’m not promoting or recruiting) but they won’t pressure you into doing anything you don’t want to (if they do, bad guild lol). My guild atm, I just love being in because they ramble away in chat and it gives me something to read while I do what I wanna do eg. running from one point to another when map chat is quiet. Feels less lonely

Finally all my friends made it into the game so now I can fully enjoy this game(dungeons and all) so I’m so excited. Happy late birthday wishes from me too
I’m having a blast. The Halloween event was great, we’ve got another event coming up, ankittenep finding new things to have fun with.
The other day I ran across a conversation between a Sylvari and an Asura – the Asura was talking about his golem, and the Sylvari asked “So are you its mother?” I LOL’d. It’s such a perfectly natural question for a Sylvari to ask, since their only experience with creating lifeforms in the Pale Tree, and the Asura was so flustered.
EDIT: Apparently “and” “I” “keep” is too hot for the censor to handle. Kittens everywhere!
@kierg Thanks for the suggestion but I would like to hold the camera view on the target automatically while strafing with the keyboard – I have been getting pain in the shoulder and arm from too much use of a mouse.
And yes, I can sort of do it by holding down a few keys at the same time – but then it is hard to fire off spells.
Couldn’t agree more with the OP!!!
I only downloaded the game yesterday and I’m absolutely loving it! My only experience in an MMO was playing WoW for a short while, because (a) it was so repetitive and boring…grinding.. and (b) the whole thought of pay a monthly fee was crazy to me.
I can’t wait to learn, improve and play in WvW etc.. Just need to find some people to play with
