I took it to be more ‘too many of you were standing on the kitten boxes so we took em away’

I wish they did this as a hidden update and the boxes collapse the moment the boss starts AoEing.

Next update: Shatterer will now look to his right.

Or just make the AOE hit that area. WOuld be fun watching the panic…

World Bosses
From Shatterer’s minions, the dragon has learned a new way to deal with players.

Crystal Grave – The ground near the dragon has become overridden with heatseaking crystal. You are more vulnerable to its sharp edges and suffer from overwhelming incurable bleeding.

so afk and then tag it at the end? people afk at these events because they are both rewarding and boring, making it more annoying for them isn’t going to encourage them to participate

you will. I doubt anet changed the system that extreme way. same at taidha ( all were died after 10 sec 11111 and also get their reward today as always) :/

auto attack for 20 seconds—> die —> dont port--> grabb a cup of coffee —> watch how hard it is for the players to compensate you and the other slacking afk deads-->golem die—> let you rezz—> get your shinies

Event participation can now time out due to inactivity. If you stop completing objectives in an event, you will eventually receive a message that you are no longer participating in that event, and you will not receive rewards when the event completes. If you begin participating again before the event ends, you will regain your previous participation level immediately.

I immediately started grinning and couldn’t wait to go fight Mk II today as soon as I read that. Bravo, ANet!

Seems a bit crazy since the golem aoe can kill instantly and wipe everyone..
None the less i can still hit it with my longbow outside of the arena.

I had a good laugh when i saw that one but really you could afk on those boxes while spaming auto attack so yeah no wonder.
And yeah ranged option still works quite well its just that i cant any longer afk while spaming no1 XD
