Thanks for big events, where masses of players work together to cause mass lag.
Which is why I play with my settings on lowest during those big events, like Tequatl, Temples in Orr or in WvW. But my lowest settings aren’t the lowest. It only applies to Armor and Characters, but the weapons with their fancy particle effects which eat up a kitten-ton of bandwith are still there. So are Guardian and Elementalist spells with insane amounts of graphic screen clutter. Looks cool, I dc just in time to miss the kill and the loot. Fix it. Fix Cliënt Crashes. Fix lag in Fractals, you messed up something during the last patch, and I would greatly appreciate it if I didn’t lag out during the last fractal and miss out on the completion rewards.
Ok, vented my frustration and hopefully the first remarks were actually useful. Constructive Feedback at its worst.

Lowest graphic settings don’t reduce weapon or spell effects? How…helpful.

I’m still trying to figure out why they set the population cap for the megaservers past the point at which anyone with moderate hardware is going to have a horrible graphic experience at any large event.

I’m hoping to eventually see a dynamic culling system. I tend to run at Lowest/Medium at all times.

In towns I could do medium/medium just fine, but it gets tiresome readjusting the options every time.

I assume weapons and back items were intentionally left rendered for sake of identification. It helps sometimes when following people in WvW. Not that I would oppose anything that raises the frame-rate though.

I can’t even comprehend how you came up with the idea that particle effects use network bandwidth. Its not a streaming game. The servers don’t keep track of the particles!

It would be nice if you could turn down particles. I’m not sure there’s even a way, short of messing with the game files.

Pretty sure that has nothing to do with getting DC’d though. Crashing? Sure. But not DC’d.

Or words to that effect.
