It’s still viewable in the wardrobe because it’s technically still in the game, it’s just not acquirable anymore. It’s like how you can preview things like the wintersday outfit even though you can’t actually acquire it now.

They’ve been saying they’d put them back into the game ever since they took them out, but I imagine it’s a very low priority item for them at the moment. In any case, I would not expect to see it any time before the expansion release when they’ll maybe have some of their internal resources freed up.

The wardrobe needs to be able to hold things players have earned in the past that may not be “currently” available.
Or possibly ever available again, technically speaking.

I’ve always loved the stalwart armor for rangers, I have the shoulders and boots, but I will never get the hat.

The devs have stated on the forums Tribal Armour will return. No timeframe or ETA has been stated though.

It’s been so long and I have no idea why they never have used the Glorious armor reward format for this set of armor. There have been numerous posts about it since it was removed from the PvP rewards.

They shouldn’t be removing content to begin with.

It’s like the raid on the capricorn, it was removed because it wasn’t poorly balanced, just remove it from unranked/ranked queue and let us play it on our own servers.

Stop removing content that someone has worked kitten and just leave it in the game for us to play with.

Oh wow. Now I feel bad. I was JUST thinking about this set and how I wanted it. So I googled the most recent thread about it and bumped it…

3 minutes later, I see THIS thread. Sorry about that necro…

But I would love to get this set back. I’d say just release it as a Gem Wardrobe Skin. I think that the set is so old and I don’t know how many players from back then even still play the game… so putting the set up on the Gem store should net a good return value considering the new players that have come to the game since the introduction of the Wardrobe system and the abolishment of the old PvP gear system.

Really? If this still is true, then maybe my thought of it returning with the new expansion (since we’re going to that jungle area) isn’t too far off at all!

This. They have changed and removed so much stuff that people enjoyed that it is ridiculous. It’s a very poor strategy for a game that really lacks an end game. Removing content from the already limited pool of resources just frustrates the consumer.

This is how I feel. But this game is a business. They won’t do it unless they won’t make money off of it. I understand that.

But estimating that the amount of work that would go into this is minimum… they should have no financial reason to not do it. If anything, it’s a matter of time: they have to take someone who is working ON the expansion off of it to make this a reality.

Business-wise… that isn’t feasable right now. But maybe someone who works for Anet loves enough to take some OT hours to pop this into the game. One of those guys/gals who really loves their jobs. XD

Gem store seems an obvious choice but it will be an outfit, which wont be what people want. Armours have been stated to no longer be released via the gem store

To be released as it was, which is probably easier since it already exists in that form, it will be released as a reward. That means either as a HoT reward or maybe a wvw/spvp award through a tournament or achievement.

Oh yeah. I been away for awhile but I heard that was the new policy. I just hoped it’s released in a way that is easy to get however. I just want it.

That sort of armor ( Tribal (pvp masquerade at the time) apostle, stalwart etc) is the only sort of prestige that PvPers get. I don’t really want them to take that away from them without giving them something too. Like all of the other PvE only skins which aren’t obtainable anymore because it was a drop, rare or not in PvE. Two way street.

I get that. Though “prestige” has never been important to me in any game (and I got some pretty exclusive stuff in other MMOs). But it IS important so some people and I respect that. So if they really wanted to, I’d say just release a different skin of it for everyone else to get. That way, everyone wins.

But it wouldn’t be the armor they want now. It’d be a re-hash which has to look near enough the same but with 6 new wardrobe slots xD people will be fickle.

I hope they bring all of the old items back into play that PvPers didn’t get and vice versa. (Don’t start with “you could have gotten that if you did PvE to get it”… You could have gotten Tribal/Stalwart etc if you PvP’d too. Yet PvPers aren’t the ones moaning about missed opportunities, funny that)

Anet’s practice of removing items is at best dumb as hell and at worst completely kittening stupid.

I’ve been gone for awhile so I’m not too familiar with that… “Strategy”. But I’ll be positive and assume they’re doing that for a reason.

With that said, I missed those White Wings everyone seems to have right now and I’d plunk down the Gems for those right now if they were available.

That or maybe it’s a supply/demand issue. I can’t claim to know the answer. All I do know is I’d like to get this outfit.

I’m glad to have seen the actual post, though I was told it existed.

That was 7 months ago and there was no ETA (and that is fair). I just hope that isn’t Anet’s equivalent of “Soon” from Blizzard. Because we could be waiting until the next expansion by then. XD

Either way, there is an official answer and its still good in my opinion (which means that it’s not too old of a response… like a year old or something.)

correct me if im mistaken, but in the tempest PoI reveal video the character they used appear to be using this set, so maybe it will be available on HoT
