I’ve done the event 4 times but have only received a chest with key fragments one time. Is getting this chest random? I can’t find any information on it.

Have you done it four times on the same day? Because you can only get three fragments each day. The mouseover text for the buff says that, too.

I just talked to someone in-game who told me about the buff and the stacks (which I didn’t understand). At the end of the last event I did (right before I made this post), I stayed in the event until the Mad King sent us to the Cauldron. Yes, I was inside the orange circle the entire time. After leaving the Cauldron and pressing 6 to leave the Costume Brawl I still had the Mad King’s Favor buff with the number 13 in it. I noted that as I stood there talking to people in-game about why I didn’t get any key pieces, the buff was slowly counting down.

I filed a bug report, but I’m still upset because I am going out of my way to attend these events so I can get the chest but I’m not getting the key pieces.

And to answer Red Queen, no I didn’t do all 4 in one day. This one 2 hours ago was the first one today. The other 3 were: 1 time a couple days ago and 2 yesterday.

Just happened again – finished the event with 15 stacks but no key pieces. Its like my account is flagged as already getting them but I haven’t.

Then that’s indeed a bug, and support should be able to help you out.

Sorry that it’s not working for you, the event itself is pretty fun.

I bet this is happening to more people but they just don’t understand how the event works. Nowhere does it explain that the amount of stacks in the buff determines the number of key pieces you get.
