I keep getting mixed answers to wether or not Magic Find Food and Buffs helps with drops in Chest or Loot Drops on Mob/Boss kills.

Anyone know which or if it is both?

MF helps with looting mobs.
MF does not help with looting boss chests. (not those little ones that drop after you kill some mobs, they already spawn when good loot is found (kind of))

Does that also mean it does not help with Large Chest like after a dragon kill or Dungeon Chest?

Yes. A dev said so before. Can’t remember which one though. You might still be able to find it if you go through the dev tracker.
