Cause you don’t port just before it lands. The burst doesn’t have any casting time. The animation is there to show you what happens, but the damage is done as soon as the animations started (the moment the warrior hits the skill).

you are not supposed to be able to counter everything, specially not a burst that is charged over time and is a vital element of a class mechanic. That is the same why it is nearly impossible to break a thiefs cloack. Warriors (and other classes) jsut have to wait till you have to pop out and show yourself. With an easy counter, it would ruin the stealth mechanic.

Just checked this in Heart of the Mist. That is not true. The damage is at the end of the animation. Even while standing inside the test target the damage is not instant.

Yeh the exact opposite is true. Eviscerate is meant to have a tell so that you can avoid it.

OP must be lag. You can see your ping if you hit f11

It’s the same reason you can get hit by stuff when you dodge, or why you may appear to not fall off a cliff but suddenly die instantaneously from fall damage. There’s always going to be some bit of latency that may cause a dissonance between the visual information on your screen and what the server considers actually took place in the game itself.
