Does magic find affect whether or not a chest drops, or does it affect what comes out of the chest, or both?

And since chests drop in WvW, does magic find affect them?

Nope, only monster drops.

Yes i meant the wooden chests.

So does magic find determine if you get a chest, or does magic find determine what you get out of the chest as you are opening it?

And are NPC’s like keep lords and such considered a monster? Does magic find work on them?
