Why do we have a limit on gold sent through the mail when we have no other way of trading to assist other players/ guildie’s. I have a guildie currently that I’m helping make his first legend and I cant trade him/ mail him the items he needs because of the weekly… not daily limit on gold can you modify it to a 500g min? or something around that number? I know its to discourage gold sellers but the majority of the community uses gems to get gold anyway. Rather than risk their accounts with gold selling sites. the only other alternative is to make a trade system like other games have but make it hard/ impossible to scam other players if you need help look at what Runescape did with their trade system. They gave players a warning if the trade screen was changed in any minute way and Runescape is a crap game in comparison to GW2.

I can’t be the only one who finds the limits an issue…

Do not speak for the majority ….. I do not and have never gotten gems to get gold. I seem to just acquire it in game without trying. I play, I sell on the TP, I sell to merchs. I get so much gold from just playing that I have given out over 300g to family and friends when they needed a hand for things they wanted.

Guild Wars (One) had the feature of displaying a warning if anything was changed in the Trading window; I’m afraid it didn’t prevent scams from happening.

Send him materials instead of gold. For example: if you want to send him 50g, send him 50g in globs of ectoplasm or silver doubloons. Then your friend can sell them for gold (or keep them, if needed for his legendary), and you won’t have to worry about the weekly gold cap.
