Did maintenance have to be 12am PDT?

This is primetime on a friday night for New Zealanders and Australians.

I mean, I realize the US is the most important population to consider due to the pure numbers of people affected, but this could have been somewhat mitigated by moving it earlier in the week.

Maintenance during primetime Mon-Thurs is a million times better than Fri/Sat/Sun.

It would be great if this could be considered for future maintenance.

As a fellow Australian player, I agree.

On the bright side though, at least tonight’s update suggested that we might still be able to login to the game. It’s just that the BLTC and similar mechanisms may be laggy or unresponsive at times.

I guess it depends on how bad the issues are with “logging in to the game as well as slight interruptions to chat, guilds and parties” over the four hour maintenance.

Still better than nothing – which is what I originally thought.

I imagine that maintenance wasn’t really planned or expected well in advance but something they saw that needed to be done soon so they scheduled it at the best time possible.

We always cop it, doesn’t matter which game. Its really not been too bad with GW2 though.

It’s annoying for certain, but at least maintenance outages in this game are fewer than in other MMOs I have played. Sadly though, in a choice between Na, EU, and Oz/NZ, we will always come in third.
