Make Attacks redirect to Mouse position
This is not a shooter, and personally i dislike all MMOs that go with a shooter kind of interface with forced mouselook and that stuff .. so no thanks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

It shouldn’t be forced. Just added as an option.

Optional would be ok, however all those MMOs i tested with those mechanics (Vindictus, DCUO, Neverwinter) didn’t had it optional, for whatever reasons, and i deleted them all after 10-20 minutes since i simply can’t play with those kind of interface.
I tried Tera a little longer .. but in the end it really felt like physical work to me. So i was really happy that GW2 didn’t went that way.

You do know that most skills can be manually aimed yes?
Disable autotargeting. Projectile skills can be aimed by holding mouse 2 and mouse looking around, as long as the skill causes your character to turn (or you additionally hold mouse 1), the projectile will travel along the center of the screen. Can of course use this for melee attacks or cleaves too if you briefly tap M1 to turn.
You can supposedly actually achieve extra range with some projectile weapons via aiming manually.
I’d say that some skills practically necessitate this form of aiming, namely flamethrower. Piercing shots are much more effective manually aimed as well.
Never personally heard of ICM, but an auto M2 toggle could be useful for this purpose.
For the toast!

You manually aim projectiles but unless you happen to keep your camera relatively low to the ground you are going to be aiming too close to you most of the time.
I don’t see any point for this for melee attacks though unless I am misreading and all the OP meant was just a mouselook toggle.

You can mimic this exactly in game, but it’s nice if you don’t want to hold down the mouse button. An official mouse toggle would be great.
