I think it’s great that the head gear of outfits is hideable just like regular armor head gear. But why can’t we hide the shoulders and/or gloves of outfits who have those? It should be relatively easy to implement this option and it would probably make a lot of players really happy.

For example I love the Ceremonial Plated Armor outfit but I don’t like the helmet and shoulder pads at all. Luckily I can hide the helmet, but I can’t hide the shoulders. Same goes for the Shadow Assassin outfit on human/norn males. The shoulders on the male version of the Shadow Assassin outfit really breaks the outfit for me. It would be great if I could hide them.

I agree with this idea. Of course I wish they hadn’t decided to make outfits one piece, but since they did make more pieces hide-able. Also, it would be a great compromise if the system was able to show your regular gear if you hide the outfit piece. So if you hide the outfit shoulder, it would show your regular shoulder piece. And then they could hide the regular shoulder piece if you prefer no shoulder at all.

I think it is actually possible, but you have to hide your shoulders / gloves before turning the outfit on. Or, I seem to remember this being the case at some point.

EDIT: I just tried it, and you can actually turn off the pieces while the outfit is equipped, you just have to do it under “Equipment” and it’s not really intuitive.
