I got one of these years ago and really like it but it’s too expensive to be for one character. I really feel it should be account bound for the price. I’ve not bought another one but I’d probably buy several if it were for the account.

How many more people would buy things like this more often if they were account-wide? Just curious if I’m just being too Irish.

Put the tool in your backpack. Go talk to the NPCs in the Black Lion TP in any city. One of them will convert it to account bound so you can swap it around your alts. Bonus: you still only paid 800 gems for it instead of the 1000 it costs now to buy a tool which starts out account bound.

They are account bound. Just like legendary and ascended items.

The old soulbound ones can be traded in for the account bound version:

Unless you are saying buy it and get 1 on every character (like the temp banker golem for the deluxe core purchase), in which case…no.

As was said, they are account bound. If yours are still soulbound, put them in your inventory, and go to a Black Lion Weapons Specialist to make it account bound.
