Make minigames more competitive!

Minigames are a pretty underrated yet awesome part of GW2, I feel like they should recieve more spotlight and I think there is a pretty easy way to incentivize them.

My suggestion is to add record boards for some of the activities, namely: Keg brawl, Sanctum Sprint (and maybe Crab Toss).

To avoid syncing there should be 2-3 assigned hours each day when people can join “ranked” in order to avoid making record runs at night time whithout real competitors.

Keg Brawl

There should be an option to make premades for keg brawl, and only full teams could sign up for the daily keg brawl tournament and it would work like Teamque in PvP, with matchmaking, rating and an own leaderboard.

Sanctum Sprint

No premades allowed, and it does not need a matchmaking – all that matters is your time in which you complete the run. Only runs where you play from start to finish would count, because it is known that players who start later get the skipping buff a lot more often.

Then there has to be a record keeper, an NPC who shows you the current month’s best runs, so you can know what and who you need to beat. It could also have a second tab for all-time best records.

The rewards

Each month, the top 50 players get a unique tradeable minipet (so people can turn it into profit if they’d like to) and a title, both with the theme of the given minigame.

Personally, I totally love the minigames, but there’s barely any reward for my time.
